One Hundred Years From Today

It’s really quite simple, and it does not matter what the topic of conversation is, the current war, the deceitfulness of nearly every government, the influx of migrants, any and all so-called earth shattering events that whomever you are speaking with at the moment desires to broach, all you need to do is look at them and say, “Where will you be one hundred years from today?”

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” (Eph. 4:29)

They will of course look at you with a sideways glance, they will think you are belittling not only the topic of conversation, but they themselves for believing it to be of great importance, but those words will for a moment cause them to stop in their tracks.

Their answer, if they decide to give you one, will of course be one single word, “Dead.”

Here my friends you do not need to go directly to the Scriptures, you do not need to reveal to them the truth of Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

The Roman’s Road is not your next step, nor the truths from the Word of God of their need to repent, just ask them, with the knowledge of where they will be in one hundred years from now, why then do they believe that topic is so very important.

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” (Luke 16:23)

The rich man did not ask how things were going in the land of the living, he had no desire to hear the latest news or question the path the world took when he was removed from it, his first thought was the same one that the person you are speaking to in that moment was, his own self.

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” (Luke 16:24)

That person you may say those words to, if they die in their sins that night, will not wonder what happened in the war they were, to know a truth, told to be concerned about, if the sodomites were still allowed in the public schools, or if the economy had finally crashed. They are going to want one thing and one thing only, out of hell.

Every topic, every conversation, every so-called important aspect of this world is an opportunity to speak of eternity, and although they may take offence with your attempting to change the subject that they believe is so vitally important, that seed you planted will by pondered by them.

Where will I be in one hundred years from today.

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (2nd Tim. 3:13)

Now, if they will listen, tell them where you will be, reveal to them the reason why, the assurance of the truths that they can also know without a doubt where they will be not only in one hundred years, but far beyond that time frame.

They believe these events are important, your responsibility is to show them they are not, that they are being deceived, and if they will not listen, but hear and heed the call of the Lord, then by the power of the Holy Spirit they will then seek the lost as well.

It’s a simple enough question and I can think of no circumstance when it cannot be asked.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1st Peter 3:15)

They have very little hope these days my friends, most of them are hanging barely onto a thread, they want answers, they want things to get back to normal, they do not want that fear of dread that assails them nearly every waking moment. You have the hope they are looking for, you know for a fact what is happening and why. The least you can do if you profess to love your neighbor as yourself is ask them that question.

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2nd Tim. 1:12)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
