Our Intercessor

Not if, but since we are hid in Christ, since we are the righteousness of God in Christ, since “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1) then why do we need an intercessor in heaven for us?

Is it because of our inability to pray as we should or need to, since Romans 8:26 is also a truth?

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Does the Lord Jesus Christ need to offer our improper prayers properly to our Father in heaven, reformulating the words we speak into the desires of our hearts so that they will be presented without spot or blemish to Him? Or is it because of our sins, the truth of 1st John 1:8.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

And is it the Savior that prays to the Father for us, pleading as it were for His anger not to fall upon the children of the Kingdom yet here on earth, hindered in their holiness by the flesh which will always be our constant enemy, and His? Is it necessary for us to sin first before the chastisement of the Almighty falls upon us, and so the Lord Jesus Christ intercedes for us in an attempt to keep that punishment from falling upon us?

Prayers spoken that must be modified, or pleadings offered by our Savior on our behalf because of sins we commit, why is the Lord Jesus Christ interceding for us?

The latter is the form that the Roman Catholic cult has adopted, a vengeful, furious Creator being held back not only by the Lord Jesus Christ, but by the foolish, and evil notion that Mary is also one who attempts to keep the wrath of God from falling upon the children of eternal life. This is just another one of their lies piled upon lies, and all who believe them live, and have been taught to live, in a constant state of fear.

And to add another lie, a great sin in itself, to their false doctrines, they say that one must go through one of their priests to have their prayers heard by the Most High.

“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” (Eph. 2:18)

But leaving that false religious organization behind, we must ask, does every prayer that formulates in our mind, that we send with a submissive and loving heart to our Father in heaven need to be modified by our Savior before it can be offered to the Almighty?

That word interceding is as when Moses stood in the gap for the children of Israel, but there is no condemnation for those who are hid in Christ, He took the wrath of God for us, for which we will praise His name continuously throughout all eternity.

I have no answer for you, perhaps men of God much wiser than myself have offered a better explanation of that verse, of that word “intercedes.” I have determined only this, to listen and give the same answer as David did when the Almighty spoke to him.

“When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.” (Psalm 27:8)

Sometimes it is the simplest of items, other times bring questions to my mind that only God Himself can answer, and I am commanded to wait patiently for that day. The promise of Proverbs 8:17 rests firmly within my soul as a truth.

“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”

We are commanded to obey, and we do so in love, those questions that cannot be answered fully in our minds may or may not be answered completely as we walk through eternity. It is enough to know that He who first loved us sits at the right hand of the Father, our Intercessor and only means to the eternal Kingdom of God.

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
