“And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19)

The love of money does not apply to our adversary, but he knows full well that it is one of the foundations of the temptations that he places before mankind.

There is much talk of a world economic crash, of all cash being transferred into a digital form, but I ask you to consider this, if indeed that were to happen, how do you suppose those we have termed the elites would respond to that action? I do not believe they would appreciate their billions of dollars being reduced to mere millions, so I do not see it as a likely scenario.

Men desire power above money, there is true wealth in their minds in being the king, that position is in of itself the deceitfulness of riches.

It does little good to contemplate what might happen, whether it is the crash of all monetary systems, another supposed or even real pandemic, catastrophic nuclear war or any other calamity that may befall civilization.

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matt. 6:34)

Not all of course, but many of the social media sites I occasionally visit are no less today than the following of that day’s narrative, with perhaps a “come to Jesus meeting” towards the end of them, and I would suppose that many who stand behind the pulpits today are preaching, if I can call it that, the same narrative.

I ask you this today in this short letter, for how long have you watched the enemy approaching? Is there a time in your life that you can recall that his advancements were easily seen by you?

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” (Eccl. 1:9)

Some of you may refer back to their “pandemic” from just two or three years ago, others to abortion, some to the rise of the sodomites, perhaps even to the beginning of what was called the Women’s Liberation movement. Each century, each generation of mankind has watched and warned from the wall and given this warning,

“And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt. 3:2)

Not about the current event in their time, but of an eternity in the Lake of Fire for those who hate our Lord.

The love of money is indeed the root of all evil, but that root finds itself in the soil of sin, of pride, envy, lust and desires outside the will of God.

Satan promises lies, and most of mankind is easily deceived, money is only one of his temptations. For us who see it as such and understand that Psalm 24:1 is a truth, “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” that does not mean he is going to give up on you. When the lust of the flesh is kept under, when pride is being destroyed in your life, when envy and vanity are recognized by you, he has other means at his disposal, and one that always seems to work quite well over the thousands of years that he has been a plague to those who serve the Living God is to get them concerned with the current narrative.

The one who thirsts and hungers for righteousness has no problem seeing unrighteousness, but to search for it can in itself be a trap my friends. The CBDC’s, a new variant of the flu, high inflation, which will you choose to follow?

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Without that lamp you will not be able to see the path clearly, and you may wander off it. The cares and concerns of this world are not our cares and concerns, we seek the face of God for the glory of God, let Ceaser have his due, it is all he will receive, watch the world crumble around you, but do not join in with it.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 55:8)

You should be able to say the same thing to your neighbor, and then tell them why.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
