Many places where it is possible to purchase something online have a section for ratings and comments, for whatever reason which is immaterial here. There are usually up to five stars that can be given to any item, and of course the majority of the people searching for an item will invariably look for the highest rating on that product. We want to get our money’s worth, so to speak, and trust the comments and ratings of others when purchasing something.
I will ask you this question, relevant to your witnessing for the Lord Jesus Christ, how many stars would the Lord give you? And in the comment section, what would He say about your efforts?
It is also a fact that those who search for the highest ratings will inevitably search through the lowest reviews, looking for why someone did not believe that product lived up to their expectations. This review of your life is not concerned with your personal walk, your inner thoughts, but your actual actions and words, how you represented the Almighty in public. In other words, could the people reviewing you tell for a fact that you have been born-again? “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” (Matt. 15:8)
The old saying is true, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but my friends, you cannot fool God. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Gal. 6:7) The review of your life will happen, what you need to be concerned with is whether it will occur before you walk into the Kingdom of the Most High or at the Great White Throne of Judgment.
The question is actually this, are you deceiving yourself?
Have you given your supposed walk with the Lord five stars when in all reality it would not even garner one? “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Sam. 16:7)
You attend church on a regular basis, are even involved in some of the activities there, one star.
You read your Bible occasionally, mostly to get an emotional, uplifting experience, but nevertheless, you open it and go through a few verses once in a while, two stars.
You pray, again occasionally, mostly in a hurried manner, and many, if not most of the time for something for yourself, three stars.
Oddly though, in the comment section there is not one reference of your lifting up the name of Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation, not one mention of His shed blood for the removal of a man’s sins, not one word about the second death that awaits all who reject Him, the fires of eternal damnation that will consume forever all who deny the Sovereignty of the Most High. There are quite a few comments though about how you were a nice person, how you are never contentious, always seem to fit in well with the rest of the crowd.
It does not matter what other people think about you in this regard, the stars, their reviews hold no merit whatsoever, only the Lord God’s review of your life does.
I cannot stress this enough, if you are not speaking to others about the Lord Jesus Christ, then your salvation is highly questionable. It does not matter what you think about it, it does not matter what others think about you, what matters is what God thinks about you, and if you are not speaking to others about Him, then you have no stars.
