You’ll Be Fine

God is not going to come down here and talk to you, you will not hear His voice as the thunder, the whirlwind, or even the still small voice. The Holy Spirit is not going to take an earthly form, Jesus Christ is not going to ring your doorbell and come in to have a meal and a conversation with you. No angel is going to appear at the foot of you bed with instructions for what comes next in your life, we do meet them unawares, perhaps and rarely, (Heb. 13:2) but that word unawares must be understood, it means that you will not know they are angels.

What you’re probably going to say is that if you want to know about God, read His Word, if you want to hear Him speaking, then read it out loud, and that is well and good, but you know full well what I’m speaking about here. “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Cor. 13:5)

Apparently, whether or not I like it or not, one of my responsibilities, and in my opinion it should be a responsibility of all who have been born-again, is to test the Spirits, (1 John 4:1) and in this I believe I follow the letter of the Word, because if what I just wrote about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit not taking on human form, as it were, a visible representation of human beings, to come down here and speak to us, then the Spirits the Scriptures are speaking about must be everyone we meet, for man was created a living Spirit. (1 Cor. 15:45) Devils must be taken into account here as well, for they can transform themselves into ministers of light. (2 Cor. 11:14)

If these words spoken here are truth, then the reason that our adversary has attempted to alter the path in this area of the born-again believer becomes quite apparent, and the answer to why so many will not give an account for their faith, (1 Peter 3:15) and when tested by others, will reply with “We are not to judge,” is they don’t want their faith tested, and at best if they are questioned about it by another, it must be by a recognized pastor or preacher, and it must be handled with the utmost of care, or their feelings will be hurt.

This is what the title “Christian” has devolved into a smiley faced, never offending, immature child who must be spoken to with the greatest of care, and the worst thing is, they call that the action of love. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:16) Notice those words correction and reproof? They don’t go over well with most who profess Jesus Christ as Lord, you will be considered contentious, too forward, not caring, because of the action of faith in Jesus Christ has been changed to the feeling of faith.

If you were going to have a party and you wanted it to be a happy, joyous time, would you invite Ezekiel, Isaiah, or Elijah? Probably not. Those men met God, they found out in person what it means to hate evil, to despise this world, they were told to give a message and that message was not meant to make people feel better about their walk with God, it was to move them to action.

Keep going to church, keep singing the songs, continue enjoining in the small talk before and after the service. Don’t be overly concerned with studying to show yourself approved, (2 Tim. 2:15) don’t worry about growing in the grace and knowledge of God, (2 Peter 3:18) don’t bother yourself with reproving, rebuking, and correcting in love, God’s not going to come down here and check on you, just keep up the happy thoughts, you’ll be fine.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
