“Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above:” (John 19:11a)
I ask you a very serious question here, one that if you contemplate and find as truth, will alter not only your perception of your Father in heaven, your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, but also how you will react to every single person you will meet in this world for the rest of your life.
Can you say the same words from that verse to everyone that you meet?
In persecutions, trials and tribulations placed upon you, to those who mock, ridicule and even threaten you, to every person that promises to bring pain into your life in whatever form they chose, can you say to them, “You can do nothing to me, unless my Father in heaven allows it?”
If this is true, what power does anyone have over you? What power does Satan himself, or any devil cast out with him have over you? None, none whatsoever.
If it is not true, then the Lord your God does not have complete control over what happens in your life, someone beside Him is in control and that would be a lie.
“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.” (Job 2:3)
The hedge around all those who are hid in Christ cannot be breached by any man or Spiritual being, only the Almighty can lower it, His protection around us is unmovable, nothing, no one can do anything to us unless He allows it to be so.
Our Savior said that nothing could happen to Him unless His Father in heaven allowed it to happen, are we allowed to say the same? If that sentence is true, then offer here a viable reason for any fear that you harbor in your life, give concrete reasons why you have even one single solitary fear.
Now how will you carry yourself in this life? How will you stand before every person you meet from now on until the day you die?
These truths, if indeed that is what they are, should alter your very existence, should cast every vestige of fear within you away as far as the east is from the west. But if these truths are not accepted in abject humility, you will have a battle on your hands such as you have never faced before.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov. 16:18)
No man, no beast, no devil, not even Satan himself can harm one single hair on your head ever, unless your Father in heaven says so. Now, can you drink from every cup that He places before you? And can you do so with praise on your lips, giving Him the glory?
If all this is true, then the mind within you that serves Christ just exalted the name of the Most High above the heavens, perfect and continual protection is now realized within you, your mind that serves the Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of the everlasting God of heaven and earth just rejoiced beyond measure.
And your flesh that serves the law of sin just realized a fear unlike any other that it has ever encountered.
Know the truths revealed here, accept them and live in them, and you will be noticed by our adversary, of this have no doubts.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” (John 10:27)
The Shepherd of the flock always sees the enemy approaching, and the enemy must always stop in his tracks, look upon the Shephard of our soul, and wait for permission.
There is a confidence beyond measure offered to you here. Accept it.
