“And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.” (Mark 13:18)
If you want people to bend to your will, wait until it is winter, take away their heat source, and they will come running.
In this age of technology one of the things that nearly everyone takes for granted it is that when you flip the switch, the lights will come on, when you turn the thermostat up in the winter, the furnace will kick in, most take these things as not only a given, but a right.
The laws of men are not made to punish people, they are made as warning signs that one will be punished if they do not obey them, but the powers of Spiritual darkness that are covering the land have placed many laws out there also. They work a little differently though, instead of being road signs of possible punishment if there is an infraction on your part, they are set in place and then a certain set of circumstances are enacted that cause people to, by necessity, reach out for assistance to those who set the law in place. In other words, they create a problem and a solution, and then put the circumstance in place to cause the problem to exist.
If you want obedience, you must remove something people need for their continued existence. Satan has not changed my friends, “And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.” (Job 2:4) Create a food shortage and they will come to you for food, cut off electricity in the winter and they will come to the places where there is warmth, and they will be welcomed, as long as they agree to obey.
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:” (Prov. 6:6) Did you? Have you prepared yourself in these days before the beginnings of sorrows truly become sorrowful? Here is the point where the pastor in his sermon, because there is only a few minutes left before its time to dismiss the congregation, would ask if there were any in attendance that do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and perhaps make an alter call, but I speak to my brothers and sisters in Christ today, and specifically to those who have prepared for the days that are approaching.
You have some extra food stored up, perhaps even a reliable heat source, but I ask you this, when you have one can of beans left and the heat is growing cold, what then?
“You can have everything you want, as long as you do what we say.”
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” (Psalm 37:25)
My beautiful wife and I have one plan if that day comes upon us, we will trust Christ, we will submit to the will of God. I may complain, a lot, she may become fearful, but we will trust in what He has in store for us.
Many of you have been blessed to be led to the proper YouTube videos, to the social media sites that can still get some of the truth of what is happening out there to you, this is a blessing from the Lord, but also a warning. Right after Peter said to the Lord, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:16) our Savior started speaking about His upcoming death, and it was the main focus of His ministry until it happened. We are being shown what is approaching, and like the ants who prepare for winter, we need to prepare our hearts to serve with even greater intent, for the days will grow darker.
All that is holding back our adversary’s final plan is the Holy Spirit, and where is He? Inside you, and how does the Holy Spirit work? Through you, if you are willing to be used.
Now is not the time to sit and search for the “next sign” before the Rapture, now is the time to work, diligently and with great intent. “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” (Matt. 24:46) It is time to stand and speak, boldly for the glory of God, the days are growing short to do so.
