Why Will You Not Judge?

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” (Matt. 7:1-2)

Satan has a propensity to twist the Scriptures, to use only a portion of a verse to infer a different meaning to the hearer, taking out of context what is meant by the Holy Spirit and changing the content completely.

This is one of those verses, and if I was to use the old saying here of “If I had a nickel for every time ….” I would indeed be wealthy.

“We are not supposed to judge” are the words we hear often when attempting to either correct, reprove or rebuke someone in love, or when we feel it is necessary to point out blatant sins in the wicked, and this my friends has led to not only the entitled and enabled society we now find ourselves in, but in many cases useless Christians who will not stand and judge properly when it is necessary to.

“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24)

“I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?” (1st Cor. 6:5)

The entire Word of God is filled with judges, men of God called to speak the truths of the Word of God to not only the wicked, but to all who claim to serve Him who have erred in His will, in the way that He has set before us to walk. But there are far too many these days who will repeat only those first five words of “we are not to judge,” and have thereby become unprofitable in the way of righteousness, in the path of life, and in the power of the Holy Spirit to stand in the day of evil.

Contemplate these following words well, that you will be judged, as our opening verse states, as you judge. Do you not desire to stand before the Living God on your day of accounting and be judged by the Word of God? Do you not desire to live every moment of your life judging yourself in relation to the truths of the Scriptures, by the written words of the Almighty Himself, studying to show yourself approved, praying fervently to know His will in your life so that you may be pleasing in His sight?

Will you apply His words in your life daily so that you may fulfill 1st Corinthians 11:31 in your life each moment?

“For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.”

How else would you expect to be judged when you stand before Him if not by His Word?

They stop at “Judge not,” and fall into the trap of Satan, to judge with righteous judgment seems hypocritical to them, to judge others with the truths of the Word of God is not their place to do so in their minds, for they fear to be judged by that which they are to judge with, His truths.

Do you understand these truths? Can you see that all who have been born-again are ambassadors of the Living God, sent to bring the message of the Scriptures to all that will listen, sent to judge with righteous judgement, with the Word of God to not only the wicked, but to all who are going astray from the path they are to remain on?

Why do so many fear to judge in this manner of truth, why do so many not judge with righteous judgment, with the words of God Himself, seeing themselves as the Pharisee on the wall instead if they even contemplate doing so?

“I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.” (Jer. 35:15)

Who were you expecting to judge with righteous judgment if not those who are hid in Christ?

You are going to be judged on your day of accounting by the Word of God, do you fear that truth?

You cannot stand for righteousness, if you do not speak the truth, and if you believe speaking truth is judging, then I pity you.
