Whose Wrath?

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” (Matt. 3:7)

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” (Romans 1:18)

How many verses can you recall that speak of the wrath of God, how many incidences in the Scriptures comes to your mind about those who rebelled against the Most High and paid the highest price, their lives. Those who deny the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, no matter how good of a person they seemed to be here will know His wrath throughout all eternity.

Do you realize that one of what I will call the attributes of the Almighty, His wrath, is what Satan is attempting to hide from the world, His love, which Lucifer once knew, is what our adversary wants all mankind to focus on, yet that love twisted, as Satan does with all things of the Living God.

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” (1st John 4:8) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

If you do not allow all who desire to cross into your nation’s borders, even offering them the finest of what you have to offer at the expense of your own citizenry, you do not know love.

If you do not accept the sodomites, no matter how many letters they add to their rainbow flag, no matter the lifestyle they have chosen for themselves, you do not know love.

If you stop the thief, if you attempt to hinder those who take what they have not earned, if you speak against those in authority who enable their actions, you do not know love.

Satan has deceived a large portion of mankind into believing this lie of unquestioning love, even to the point of causing fear in many who profess the name of Christ. To stand against this worldly, Satanic interpretation of love is to be labeled a hater, bigot, racist and denier of what is cherished most by man, the ability to express themselves in whatever way they choose.

If you do not acknowledge and accept this, you do not know love.

The last things our adversary wants people to contemplate, after the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ for the sins of the world, is the wrath of God.

“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1st Peter 1:16)

The love of God my friends has prerequisites, it is not offered or given to those who do not obey His will and Word, it is not placed upon whose who do not deny themselves for His glory, it will never be known or experienced by those who deny the sufficiency of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ as the only means to the Father.

The wrath of God is and will be for all eternity.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)

If Satan allows people to contemplate the wrath of the Almighty, they may begin to fear Him, they may begin to seek His face and in great abject humility beg His forgiveness for their sins, they may repent in dust and ashes, they may with a broken and contrite heart call on the Lord Jesus Christ to save them from the wrath to come.

No, unquestioning love is the way the people are told, never judge, never reprove or correct, and never, ever rebuke, or that love that all are to live in will be denied you, and you will be sorely punished, their wrath will fall upon you.

Now, all you need to do is contemplate whose wrath you fear the most, theirs or the Lords.
