Those we look up to we attempt to emulate, if not in our physical nature, then in some form of our mental construct. Every little boy has a “superhero,” if you will, that he wants to grow up to be like, while society does all it can to attach some form of significance to that idol. The fact of sin upon not only the youth of the world by these forces, but also upon the individuals of greater age is quite easily seen by those who have been blessed with open eyes. In the countries where the Scriptures were once sought out for the wisdom imparted through them, now those who attempt to live their lives in submission to the will of God are ridiculed, a new normal has arisen, and many of those who once professed Christ as Lord are now hiding in the shadows, at best, in places of worship is the only place that many will still proclaim His name, in public, persecution, even when it comes only in the form of words, is avoided at all cost.
The lost are in a state of confusion across the globe, the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33) has pulled out all the stops, and they are searching for someone to follow. Nearly every news media has nothing but fear to offer, and they are offering it freely at all times, it is the perfect set-up for a one world leader, and he has been preparing for this day for many thousands of years. Nearly all of Matthew chapter 24 is a discourse from the Lord on what will happen in the last days, and it takes the wisdom that only the Lord God can impart unto a man to be able to discern when He is speaking of those last days, before the rapture occurs, and when the tribulation period begins, post rapture.
Satan is one of those who can interpret these times precisely, though not the day of our leaving, for not only is he well versed in the Scriptures, but he can see all that is happening in the heavenlies, and the Lord God Almighty never acts without formality. Confusion is the beginning of fear, fear is the action taken most of the time when men are confused, they go hand in hand. Many are being deceived by the most simple of means, plagues, feminine, pestilence, wars and rumors of wars create confusion, when we are told implicitly not to be concerned about them. “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” (Matt. 6:25) “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matt. 6:34) “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” (Matt. 24:6)
The born-again believer need not spend hours in front of their television or internet feed to see these truths, yet many do, and the more time they do, the less spiritually discerning they become, the more easily they are confused. Is the Lord coming back for His church? (1 Thess. 4:17) Yes. When. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matt. 24:36) What are to do until that time? “Occupy till I come.” (Luke 19:13) The lost will soon begin an all-out frontal assault upon the children of God, their fear will drive them to act in vengeance against us.
The perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18) will be abhorrent to them, we will be seen as the enemy, in time, we may even be seen as the main cause for nearly all their problems. It happened in Egypt, (Exo. 1:9) in happened in the days of Daniel, (Daniel 6:10-11) it happened in the time of Christ, (John 11:50) it happened in the time of Hitler and nearly every other crazed despot like him, the people of God are always at enmity with the world, and those of the world always need someone to blame. They are all looking for a leader, one man with all the answers to their distress, one man that will calm all their fears, that will bring prosperity and peace to the entire planet, one man to begin the wonder and joy of the age of man. By him they will be greatly deceived, by him they will be led to the pit and darkness of hell.
My friends, we have not even begun the journey of the last days, or as some prefer to call it, the last of the last days, we who “which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord,” (1 Thess. 4:17) will experience next to no trials and tribulations as compared to our brothers and sisters who will be saved during the tribulation, those who will claim Christ as Lord and “loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:11) If you cannot stand now, if you are not emulating Christ now, how do you believe you will fare when evil is finally let loose, and the hand of God is at the same time taken off of the nations that once served Him, and He begins to reveal His judgements. Time is running out, the decision to stand has been left entirely to your own discretion.
