War, pestilence and famine, these are three of the main ways that the Almighty deals with sinful nations.
I pen this letter today to those of you who understand the truth of the Rapture, and it is in reference to Matthew 24:6.
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
The chaff is not separated from the wheat the first time it is tossed into the air, it takes more than once. A war will happen, the verse states the truth, but my fear is that if the Rapture does not happen when that war begins, hope may die in some.
Not a minor conflict, those are happening today, my thoughts are on a thermonuclear war that will happen in perhaps many different nations at the same time, or at least over a few days. I am not attempting to be prophetic here, I would not be so foolish, I could have just as easily used a massive solar flare or a real plague this time, not one manufactured for the sake of profit and obedience.
The verse says war, so there will be a war.
My concern is for those who will doubt not only the Rapture, but their very salvation, for if such an event occurs, all news and information will cease for a time, and as those in Thessalonica thought, many will believe they have been left behind.
I believe that many also think that a world-wide cataclysmic event is what will trigger, if you will, the catching up of the saints in the clouds.
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1st Thess. 4:17)
But what if it doesn’t?
Doubts my friends can be the biggest destroyer of faith, and so I would ask you to remember this, the wheat must be thrown into the air many times before the chaff is separated from it.
Every sign, if you will, brings out the false prophets, and in the last three or four years they have come out of the woodwork in great numbers. Some disobey the truth of Matthew 24:36 by offering dates.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
And it does not seem to bother them in the least, or those who follow them when they are once again proven wrong. Those who do not believe the Rapture will occur say in their own way, “Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2nd Peter 3:4)
Many of these I give little thought to, they fulfill 2nd Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
What I do think about are my brothers and sisters in Christ who, when they see the war begin, and are expecting the Rapture immediately, and if it does not happen in the timeframe they imagined, they will begin to doubt.
“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23)
Hundreds of millions of people are going to be shown that they have been nothing but the chaff all along, and simply because the Most High did not move in accordance with their supposed timetable of when they thought He should act.
Jeremiah tried to warn the people for over twenty years.
When doubts enter into our minds, faith can do nothing but suffer, and when we think the Almighty should act, and He does not, those doubts will arise. You must remember this, what we are waiting for in patient anticipation, the Rapture, will begin the end of thousands of years of mankind, a seven-year period of time where Matthew 24:22 will become a reality.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”
No matter what cataclysmic event happens, war, plague or famine, recall Luke 21:28.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
And then get back to the work of glorifying the Living God. When it’s time to go home, He will find you.
