When It Begins To Rain

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” (Deut. 32:39)

The Lord God Almighty brings the rain, He also stops it from raining when His judgments are upon the land. He sends famines and pestilence; He sends bountiful sunshine and pleasant breezes. If there is one thing that we can be sure of, it is that the Lord is paying attention, and that there are still rewards and punishments.

As I was led to write earlier, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Gen. 12:3) Many God-fearing men led by God for the glory of God are in agreement today, the judgment of the Most High is upon the entire planet, He has given many over to a reprobate mind, the surest sign of His judgment. The sentence will soon be pronounced and then carried out, there is no stopping it now.

The rain will fall on the just and the unjust. Whether or not the Rapture will occur before that time is immaterial, though it will happen before the great tribulation begins. What is important is not our warnings of those great and terrible days, but of the eternal wrath of the Lake of Fire to all who will not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The news media, run for the most part by the powers of Spiritual darkness, want us to believe that all will be better, that it will all work out in the end, while at the same time showing us as much doom and gloom as possible, draw them in with fear, leave them with a vestige of hope. Nothing changes.

I personally believe there is little time left before we are removed, but that is neither here nor there, it does little good to warn of what is approaching if you do not tell them of what awaits all who will not call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of their eternal soul.

I hold to a belief that I cannot verify in the Scriptures; it is only conjecture on my part, but as for now I see it as not only relevant to the topic of this short letter, but to the days we find ourselves in. Noah and those with him went into the ark, a symbol of the Rapture, and then God Himself sealed them in seven days before it started to rain. If my hypothesis is correct then seven days before the great Tribulation begins, we will be removed, and for seven days not one born-again believer will be on this planet. As I said, I do not speak from the Holy Spirit here, it is only my own thoughts, but no rain fell on the heads of those blessed souls in the ark.

God’s judgment has fallen, the sentence will be passed upon the entire earth, perhaps only one nation at first, perhaps many, we are not told. And we must remember, when the sentence is passed it may not be the great Tribulation times beginning. The chaff must always be thrown into the wind with the wheat, sometimes many times over, and it is always done on a very windy day.

We need to stop being overly concerned with the Rapture; we need to get back to the business of glorifying the Most High by reaching out to all we meet with the message of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. When times were relatively calm, when there was little turmoil, when most of the nations were at peace, this is what the chosen did, it is what we are to continue doing, no matter the circumstances the world finds itself in.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 is not bound by the days of peace or horror, it is our responsibility, our honor and privilege to serve the Lord in this manner. Warn, yet not only of what is approaching here on earth, but what is waiting for all who will deny Him, eternal damnation.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
