What’s Important?

To make them question their faith. The problem is they do not use the same Bible as we do, and so there is no foundation that can be built upon. They serve Molech, Dagon, they serve the Roman Catholic cult, deities and gods who have no relationship whatsoever to the one true God, and so you must, at least in those foundational areas, have at least some knowledge of who it is they say they serve.

If you are going to witness to someone about the Lord Jesus Christ, you must study the Word of God, if you are going to attempt to speak to someone about their religious tendencies, then you must not only understand at least a part of what they believe, but you must be able to make them question that belief.

It really does little good to speak on the subject of what they will call religious items, unless they can be shown how their own beliefs have flaws, where the cracks are in it. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:16) If they know something of the Scriptures, they will inevitably attempt to show you what are considered, by their standards, contradictions in the Word of God, and here you must be firm in your foundation.

I truly believe that many people do not witness for the Lord because they do not have that foundational knowledge. Words like justification, sanctification and glorification are foreign to them, and there is very little in this area more saddening and depressing and yes frustrating, than someone who claims to be saved who has no working knowledge of the Word of God. They profess a faith in Jesus Christ, but cannot expound upon it, and many times when they try to, they misinterpret the most basic constructs.

How can one say they serve the Lord Jesus when they cannot even tell you who He is, why He came here, or what the purpose of His life was?

I have met these people, and memory loss is not a problem for them, studying to show themselves approved is. They can tell me what the weather was like on a specific day ten or more years ago, but they cannot discern the Word of God. My friends, if you cannot interpret the Scriptures, in context, how do you plan on ever witnessing for the Lord, how are you going to answer when someone asks you, “Are you a Christian?” How can you give them a reason for your faith when you cannot even describe it?

One of the reasons so many cults are so prolific, and do not deceive yourself here, any organization that teaches that there is any other way to the Father than through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and belief in Him alone, is a cult, is that they study their belief structure. It matters not if they are deceiving themselves or being deceived, many of them spend time learning about what they believe to be the truth.

We have the only truth. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) But in this age of emergency and immediacy, at least as they are supposed, there is little time to sit and read the Word, to contemplate its truths, to fulfill Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

I actually had a comment on one of these letters, and while I know it was offered in love and with good intentions, it baffled me, and assisted me in seeing the truth of where most people are today who profess Christ. This person believed that if these letters contained more imagery and perhaps were just a little shorter in length it would be beneficial for the channel, and I responded, “If four minutes of a person’s life is too long to read about the glory of God, then I feel sorry for those people.”

You cannot witness to anyone, much less attempt to get them to question what they believe, if you do not apply yourself, and if you are not studying the Word of God for the glory of God, what else in your life is more important?

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
