“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matt. 24:37)
That’s the verse that many like to quote in these days, the fact that most were simply going about their business of living their lives as if nothing was amiss. I think a majority of them tend to forget the reason the Lord said, “The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” (Gen. 6:13)
It was because of “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Gen. 6:5)
What percentage do you suppose eight is of a number? Eight souls out of how many, a million? Several million? What percentage, what number are you presupposing would that be today out of more than eight billion?
“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;” (Luke 17:28)
And the relative verse my friends? “And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.” (Gen. 18:32)
And there was not, in fact only four were brought out, one turned to salt, one got drunk two nights in a row, and you should know what the other two did.
Ask yourself this question as you contemplate the state of the entire world, is the heart of man only evil continually? Are the sodomites exerting their will over the masses? Are the signs, those we call the end times signs as sure as you believe, or can mankind become even worse than what we are?
How much time is left?
But here is a more pertinent question for you, what difference does it make how much time is left before we are removed?
All those Evangelical churches, the ones that preached the importance of corporeal settings, of not forsaking the assembling of themselves together as a type of prime directive, you remember, all those churches that locked their doors, how many of them are fixated now on end times scenarios, how many of them are studying the dreams and visions of Daniel, of Matthew 13, of Revelation? How many of them are so easily led by the media that Christ and the service to Him they are to have has been replaced with the concerns of what is approaching, instead of what is.
Of what they are to be doing today for the glory of God?
My guess would be more than a few, although I sincerely hope I am wrong.
To those of you who know the evil of these days, are you reaching out to the lost, or looking for more signs, are you praying diligently to be profitable in every aspect of your life, or hoping to go home? Are you living for self, or dying to self?
They locked their doors before, and if told to, they will do it again, and then return when allowed to, and with the gall to preach a sermon on Philippians 1:21.
Is the heart of man evil enough yet, have the sodomites been given their sight back, has mankind in his utter foolishness determined once again to attempt to stand before the Living God and say, “Not thy will, but mine be done.”
His mercy endures forever to those who love Him, His wrath will abide for all eternity on those who reject Him.
The world my friends is standing on sinking sand and sinking fast, if you have not reached out yet to those you know that do not know Him you say you serve, why not? Did you think you had more time, are you still embarrassed, can you not see time is short?
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Heb. 9:27)
You will not get a second chance you know; you do not have the 120 years Noah had.
What percentage are truly serving?
