Subtlety, subterfuge, diversions and deceptions, Satan is the author of all these for a singular purpose, to defame in any way possible by the actions of mankind the name of the Living God.
“Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.” (2nd Sam. 12:14)
His name, not your reputation, is what matters, His glory, not your vainglory, your pride, your self-esteem and supposed place in society or in the eyes of others.
Our adversary could not care less how you feel when you sin, how your emotional state collapses when you dishonor the Lord, you do not matter to him in any way, it is the Almighty that he desires to see lowered. To an eternal being, you are no more than a momentary passage of time, a speck of dust floating by, he will use you to his advantage if it is possible, everything he does though is focused on one particular moment in time, to be worshipped, and that day is approaching fast.
Temptations are the key, and in all reality, it is all he really has to use for his advantage over those who have been chosen by the Almighty, all others he has the power of death over. Most are willing associates to his desires, they profit by adhering to nothing more than the lust of the eyes, of the flesh and the pride of life, and those he can offer as much as he desires to any that seek them. “And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” (Luke 4:6)
And my friends, most will willingly accept all that he offers.
The diversions and deceptions are for the simple minded, both lost and saved, those that are easily led astray by the things of the world and the path it is on. The subtlety and subterfuge he attempts to employ upon those that are Spiritually discerning by the grace of God, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2nd 2:11)
Here then is the question for you in this short, poorly written letter, are you aware of them? How many videos have you watched in just the last few months that focus on how wicked the wicked are, did you not believe they has always been such? Were you not already aware that those great sinful desires against the Living God were always in their minds but now instead of them remaining behind closed doors they have been emboldened and brought their darkness out into the light?
How many of those same videos have informed you of what you are to be doing for the glory of God in these evil days, how you are to employ the Scriptures in this ever-growing darkness, how you are to prepare for persecutions for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ? Or are they simply showing you what evil men who are being deceived are doing?
There are watchmen on the wall who are sounding the warning, but most are busy watching the world plunge into darkness, who fear to speak up for fear of persecutions. What care you the path of the world, you knew these days would arrive, how does it change the message you have been sent to give?
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3)
Our adversary’s tactics will increase in power as the hedges continue to be lowered, when they are removed completely, we will also be removed. Until then perform the tasks you have been sent to do.
