Wait On The Lord

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” (Psalm 27:14)

Those who have served the Lord for a large part of their lives, who are now old and frail, wait on the Lord. Those who have witnessed the death of many who did not call upon Him for the salvation of their soul, who saw the wicked die, wait on the Lord. Those who have watched as evil men rule the nations in ways that serve their own purpose, as the proud have lifted up themselves and defied the Most Holy One, who have watched as they prosper on the earth with no personal retribution, wait on the Lord.

“In your patience possess ye your souls.” (Luke 21:19)

The life of those who have been born-again is a life where the truth of this world has been revealed to them, these are those that thirst and hunger continuously for righteousness and know that it will not be filled here. They watch as those who only profess Him with their lips smile and enjoy the things of this world, as many who sit in the pews continue daily to seek the pleasures this world has to offer. As content creators make videos whose only focus seems to be to reveal how wickedly the wicked are behaving and offer at the end of their videos a few minutes of the plan of salvation.

“For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:43)

Scratching those itchy ears seems to be the only way to keep at least a part of the attention of those who say they serve the Living God, sound Biblical doctrines will not hold their thoughts for long, many want to be entertained, not taught, not trained in how to be a profitable servant.

Others who claim to know Him, who will not speak His name in public, who believe being a good Christian means being polite and courteous, who refuse to seek the lost, do not wait on the Lord, but call upon Him only in those moments of distress, when their life in this world they pursue does not go as they would like it to go.

False prophets deceiving millions, pastors who do not deserve the title bringing the world into what they call a church, “good people” claiming to serve the Lord Jesus Christ who serve only their selfish desires.

A world of people who have determined that the Living God is not worthy of their time, who mock Him to His face with no fear of God Almighty.

While those He has chosen for Himself serve humbly and wait on the Lord.

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” (2nd Tim. 2:19)

If you serve the Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of the Living God, you have already and will continue to watch as this world continues its downward spiral, you will watch as those who profess to serve Him whom all will serve in the end fulfill the truth of Job 2:4, “Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.”

You will witness those who profess to be the wheat being blown away with the wind, the chaff seeking protection from the world instead of waiting on the Lord.

For them, the pleasures of this world will be replaced by the desires of the continuation of their lives, they will want nothing more than one more day of life.

As you live your life here, wait on the Lord, as you serve Him daily with a sincere heart that trusts in the promises, wait on the Lord. As you watch evil grow exponentially, as you witness those who claim to serve Him serve themselves, those who will not endure sound doctrine, but instead desire to have their itchy ears scratched, wait on the Lord.

Only those who are heavenly minded my friends are of any earthly good.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
