A storm came through last night, trees and limbs of trees scattered all about. Before the sun was fully up, citizens were out surveying the damage, the local city crews were and are still expecting a long day or two, the “looky-loos,” as they are called in these parts, were out driving around, looking for talking points to expound upon at the local coffee shops, the big news of the day arrived at two in the morning, and will be the main topic of conversation until the next noteworthy event occurs.
Order must be maintained, the streets must be cleared, normality must be returned as soon as possible, or, or what, what will happen. Structures will be repaired, trees will be replanted, grow old and then die, only to be replaced again, the dead do not concern themselves with such things, even those on the other side of the planet will take no thought whatsoever to the events that occurred here last night, yet to those here and those in close proximity to the event, it is all that matters, but the most pressing matter in their mind will be to return the community to some form of familiarity, for in sameness is security.
When I awoke this morning, my first thought was “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh,” (Prov. 3:25) my second was “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.” (1 Peter 4:12) Almighty God is changing things, it takes little research to see that His mighty hand is moving across this planet, the warning signs to a lost world are evident to all who will but look for them in wisdom and spiritual discernment. Nearly every media outlet of course is trying to hide these events, the perception of a lost world never changes, always bring hope in mankind along with any fear, if we pull together, we can accomplish anything.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matt. 24:22) This is what is coming, the end of nearly every living thing on this planet, from all beast to all men, nearly all flesh is going to die. There will be no “pulling together” that will alter this, the Lord God has spoken, it will happen. Every single person that will be left behind after the rapture will witness the wrath of God, there will not be any “getting back to normal,” but today He is merciful, today He is gracious in showing to those who will see that His approach is imminent, He is still offering love and forgiveness to all who will call upon Him, but soon that time will be over.
It encapsulates the whole of the ministry He has set upon me, not only to warn the lost, but especially those who call Him Lord. These events will occur, we are to warn the world that Almighty God is moving, He is plainly showing us that the only way of escape, the only refuge that will be secure is found in Him, that making sure the streets are passable is going to be one of the last things on anyone’s mind very soon. Pestilence, plague, famine, and the sword, these are the calling cards, these are the warning signs that the Lord God has always used to warn of His approaching wrath, and repentance is the only way to abate that anger. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matt. 24:36)
But He surprises no one, He is patient, He gives warning signs, He always has. From His prophets in the Old Testament to the Words of Christ, repent has always been the word that is offered to men before His vengeance and wrath falls upon them. Man as a whole has determined that his own path is the best, as he almost always has done, his thoughts are not on begging for forgiveness, or repenting of their sins against the Most Holy One, but of making sure the streets are passable, and soon, because of the blatant sin of not acknowledging Him as Sovereign, the rain will fall upon the just and the unjust. He is preparing to separate the chaff from the wheat, Jesus Christ Himself will return to take His church home before the great and terrible day of the Lord begins (Joel 2:31) we will be saved from the great day of wrath.
Things are not going to get better my friends, the days of getting better are over, all of the love, care, and compassion of the Lord is about to come to an end, pain is coming, and if pain will draw a lost world to Him, then pain is what He will use. It has been promised, and it is coming.
