Uninformed Thoughts

Here is what the lost serve, here is their representation of the afterlife, what they base their entire concepts of where they will spend eternity, the uninformed thoughts of their imaginations.

The religions around the world that attempt to place any work on the cross with Christ, those who deny that His blood was sufficient, fits into this group, but willingly, for they are the modern day pharisees, if you will, their attempts to keep their followers in bondage hinges on this fact. All those who follow any other religion, and all those who follow no religion at all are the more refined, if you will, the clearer interpretation of this statement. They are foolish in their vain imaginations, (Romans 1:21) they are the heathen that rage, (Psalm 2:1) for inside of them, because of the invisible things of God (Romans 1:20) is the knowledge of the truth, the truth that most of them will deny to their dying day.

They are uninformed not of the truths, or even the concepts of the Most High, in no manner of what name they give Him, but have taken these thoughts and imagined them, or perhaps better said, “Him” as the god that they desire Him to be. The creature they worship (Romans 1:25) is in fact themselves, and they have determined within themselves that they are correct.

I do not know if you have noticed this or not, but nearly every single organization on this planet outside of those who are born-again serves a god that requires some form of work from the willing follower, something on their part must be done. I believe that if you pay close attention, even in churches where Ephesians 2:8 is taught, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” you will find individuals who believe that they either must do something, or continue to do something to insure their salvation. I will not judge these individuals, God knows if they are His or not, but that begs the verse in Matthew 7:20, “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

We cannot prove the existence of God, much less the salvation that comes from Christ alone to anyone, even a completely changed life will not do that. The closest we might come is our words, our continuous language when speaking to people, and even that they will ascribe to self-determination, most generally because of some past event that prompted us to begin living a “better” life, one more caring and concerned, but we can no more prove the existence of Christ to them than we can that there is either life or no life in some distant galaxy. “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:44)

God calls whom He wants to call, and I do not find anywhere in the Scriptures where He calls everyone, our responsibility is to test the waters, as it were, we are to seek out the lost in an attempt to find our brothers and sisters in Christ, and I do not mean to be facetious, but that game of hide and seek can be very frustrating at times, for the lost that are “hiding” do not even realize that they are hiding. It can be, as you may very well know, very frustrating at times.

We are to tell all that we meet, or if you prefer, all that we are led to, that their uninformed thoughts are only figments of their imaginations, that we know the One they are searching for, and we can lead them to Him. As you have heard me say many times, from there, once they know the truth, or even just part of it, once they are at the foot of the cross, our job is done. Perhaps they will heed the call, and then, until the Lord moves them to where He wants them to serve Him, you can be a teacher to them, but once we have shown them the truth, once the message has been given, they are on their own.

It will not be easy, it never is, but if only one out of ten thousand comes to Christ, each disrespectful lost soul’s words to you will be worth it after that. If you have ever had the privilege to be there at that moment, then you know what I mean.

  1. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
….I made myself servant unto all,
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew,
…to them that are under the law, as under the law,
…to them that are without law, as without law,
…to the weak became I as weak, that I might by all means save some.
And this I do for the gospel’s sake,…

Really hard to go the extra mile as Paul did! The only person other than our Lord who said
    “be ye followers of me”.
    1 Corinthians 4:16

  2. When we decide to submit to the Lord Stanley, we cannot say “In this area of my life,” No matter what He asks of us, no matter when He asks it of us, no matter the cost to ourselves. The man who does this is the one who has truly been crucified with Christ. (Gal. 2:20) Thank you for your comments, I enjoy them thoroughly.
