“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” (Heb. 9:22)
When the blood comes out from whatever living creature, it dies. The shed blood of Christ, the only perfect sacrifice, was shed for you, because of the love He has for us. Why? Because that is what was determined before the foundation of the world, because it is what God wanted.
Why did He create Satan with the full knowledge of what would happen not only to him and all who were cast out with him, but also to all mankind, the incredible evil that would encapsulate the entire planet?
Because He wanted to.
“And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” (Gen. 6:13)
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matt. 24:22)
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matt. 25:41)
Heaven, hell, sin, grace, mercy, love, vengeance, eternal salvation and eternal damnation, all because that is what the Almighty determined He wanted to do.
As a created being, you have no say whatsoever in these matters, the Lord God has determined all that is to be what it is, we are no more than a speck of dust in the universe, a drop of water in the ocean, we exist and have our being at His pleasure. It is God that determined to give us the free will to choose the course of our eternal destiny, but there are only two choices, whether you agree with that or not, whether you like it or not makes no difference at all, He is Sovereign, He created and owns all that is, even your soul.
You acknowledge Him as such, you accept and believe what His Word says about the sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and you will live forever in joy, if you reject all this, you will be punished for all eternity in a Lake of Fire.
This is what He has decided, it is what will be.
This is why man hates God, that gift of free will is not as free as they know it to be, those invisible things of God, His eternal power and Godhead are clearly seen and known as truth to them, to all of us, and they hate Him for it.
There is no evil in God, and so He created evil in the form of Lucifer, allowing him to fulfill a purpose, he was given free will as well, it was no surprise to the Almighty when he chose to rebel, it was no surprise to the Lord God when Adam fell, it has always been the will of God to show His love to them who love Him, yet without the knowledge of good and evil, free will means nothing, without the ability to choose between the two, grace cannot be offered, love cannot be forced upon anyone, nor can it be accepted except by the action of free will.
God Almighty decided it to be so, as it is, is how He determined it to be, you have and will never have any choice in the matter save for one.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Hard truths, but truths nonetheless.
The longer I sit here with my pen and paper, the more I am shown two irrefutable truths, man has a free will and God is Sovereign, both are true, neither of them can be denied. You have the free will to accept what the Lord’s shed blood did for you or reject it, and it is God that chooses those who will enter into His Kingdom.
