Truth In Wisdom

It matters how much desire you possess within yourself to serve the Lord, and the sincerity of those desires must be true and for His glory alone, with no self-serving interests involved, but unless He grants you the abilities to perform your desires, all your efforts will be in vain.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)

“Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.” (Prov. 24:32)

Solomon’s wisdom was not instantaneous, as he grew in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, his wisdom grew, his Spiritual discernment, the ability to comprehend the difference between good and evil. He grew in his understanding of truth.

Along with all these blessings comes a wisdom of the world, not to desire to emulate it for our own selfish reasons, but the knowledge to understand the ways of our adversary and thus how to become adept at comprehending his wiles.

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2nd Cor. 2:11)

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (2nd Tim. 3:13)

Those who are wise in the ways of this world, of human nature, of fallen man’s desires, are deceiving many by subtle craft, those who have been and are continuing to be blessed by the Almighty with the wisdom that can only come from Him can easily see through these deceptions, we can recognize that what those wicked men in authority are attempting is to offer to mankind their selfish desires, and to obtain those desires all they are required to do is serve them.

Spiritual discernment, the blessing from the Most High given to us to discern between good and evil causes those who are sincere in their faith in the Lord to say with Daniel’s three friends, “But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” (Dan. 3:18)

The ability to walk into the fire of persecutions for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for the glory of God does not rest within us my friends, it also is a gift from God. He places in our souls the ability to stand in the evil days, it is His strength not ours, that follows through when we say, “Thy will be done.”

It is not our love that is tested, it is the sincerity of our faith, and those tests are not to inform the Almighty where we stand, but to reveal to us exactly where our desires rest.

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4)

Those desires are never to be of an emotional nature, not the temporal wants of our flesh, but in the growth of the sincerity of our faith.

Those who were cast to the lions, led to be burned at the stake, cast into prison houses to be tortured and killed, those who will not love their lives to the death all testify to the truth of these words.

Obedience always comes before sacrifice, and if you desire wisdom, you must first become obedient to His Word and will, and always only for the glory of God.

The person saved today is rarely tested to the point of death these day, but those who have served Him for much time are expected to accept whatever He chooses to bring into their lives, even unto the loss of their lives. Our desire to serve for His glory must rest on the foundation of the sincerity of our faith, and that faith must rest on the promises of the Word of God, on the Rock of our salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ.

“For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” (Eccl. 1:18)

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” (Isaiah 53:3)

The wisdom of this world is deceiving billions of people, the wisdom you have been blessed with is to be revealed to them as the only truth.
