True Security

What do you need to make you feel secure, what is it that gives you a sense of being grounded, stable, that enables confidence within you?

I’m fairly sure that many of you just said “Jesus,” and I rejoice over that, but, and I mean this in no offense, what if He is indeed all you have left?

You lose your job, your means of bringing an income into the house, the checking and savings accounts dwindle down to zero quickly, credit cards denied, everything that can be sold is gone. Will Jesus be enough?

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1st Tim. 6:10)

Do you find security in relationships, in family and friends, do you run to them in times of need and trouble, do you rely upon them for physical and emotional support. And if they all leave your side, will Jesus be enough?

It would be wise of you to contemplate these truths at length occasionally, especially in the days that are approaching, because this evil world’s system is intent on making all dependent on them, and that feeling of needed security is being brought slowly upon many by first enabling them.

I realize I bring this verse before you quite often, but it is an important one to consider in these beginnings of sorrows.

“And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.” (Job 2:4)

The one who has lost all semblance of security is the one who will give all they have for the continuation of their life. And if you whittle them down slowly and progressively, they will barely notice anything is truly amiss.

They gave a percentage of their crops, then their livestock, then their land, until there was nothing left to give but themselves, and then everything belonged to Pharoah.

Skin for skin my friends.

Until we are placed in a situation where there is nothing left to us, nowhere left to turn, we will never understand these two verses.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19)

“And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” (1st Tim. 6:8)

And I will in no way place words in the mouth of the Almighty, but if it takes Him to bring you to that place where there is nothing left to you but Jesus, He will do that.

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” (Heb. 12:6)

If you are not secure in Him, if you cannot honestly say, “Thy will be done” no matter the circumstances that surround you, if you need more than Him, you will never know true security.

Taking away and then offering something in return for submission is what Satan does, those who have much pay little attention to him, those who have not, when needs and wants are promised to them, will give everything for the continuation of their existence here.

In all reality my friends, if you have been born-again, you have already given all you have and all you are to the Almighty.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20)

So, what have you got to lose if you lose everything?

Our security, both in this life and in His eternal promises rest on the foundation of the Word of God, on our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you were already aware of all the truths mentioned here, and fully secure in the assurance of His promises, then if you said “Jesus,” you didn’t need to read this letter today, did you?

You are going to witness in the days ahead much sorrow, much despair, frustration and anger, for people’s securities are being eroded and removed from them. We alone, out of all the people on the planet, have true security, and we are to reveal Him in whom we trust to all we meet.

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2nd Tim. 1:12)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
