Transformed

Everything here is temporal, the only thing that will last throughout all eternity are the souls of people and the Word of God, even this earth will be made new.

I have a firm belief that I cannot prove when it comes to those who will spend eternity in the Kingdom of the Most High God, and I take it in part from Psalm 16:11, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Those pleasures include my beautiful wife being my wife forever and being all that she has always wanted to be. It includes our pets, not in the form that one might imagine, but that if we want to spend time with them, they will be there, when it is time for us to occupy ourselves in other matters, they will not.

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” Isaiah 65:17 does not include those items, but is in reference to our sinful natures, we will no longer be burdened with the memories we have of them today, although I do believe we will remember them, but we will look at them in a way that we desire with all our hearts to today, completely and totally forgiven. In other words, we will be able to finally forgive ourselves.

Will you recognize and remember those that you love that have gone on before you to glory? Of course, and so I do not believe that the Lord is going to remove any of our memories of this life, just the way that we will remember them will be altered in a way that we cannot even begin to imagine today.

I doubt very much that we will celebrate our birthdays, at least not the date of our birth here, but there may be celebrations of other sorts. All throughout the Old Testament the Lord initiated days set aside for specific recognition, and so there may be certain times where there will be joyous celebrations commemorating certain events. And if they start there, unless the Lord modifies something, they will continue there throughout all eternity, but these temporal things will come to a close.

Our Father in heaven loves us and His words are faithful and true, we can and should expect pleasures forevermore. When we are in His presence as the verse says, we will all revel in the fulness of joy, something that cannot be explained by earthbound creatures.

When my lovely wife and I want to go play with our pets we will experience a joy, a pleasure that you may not see as such, and that is perfectly fine, we are created individuals here and I firmly believe that we will be individuals throughout eternity. Our pleasures may not be pleasing to you at all, and yours may not be to us. When we walk through that lonesome valley, we walk through it alone, only Christ can be by our side, we were saved alone, we will die alone, we are individuals and, I believe will remain so forever.

You will stand before the Lord to give your account alone, and then you will enter into your forever family, every one of them loving you, every one of them our brothers and sisters in the Lord, all of us there for all eternity, children of the Most High God.

Will there be temporary things in our eternal home, possibly, the Lord does love to create things, will we rejoice in every new thing? Of course, but you will always be you.

We are being transformed by the renewing of our mind, one day that transformation will be complete, and that my friends is the hope we are waiting for. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
