Too Big

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” (Matt. 10:30)

Some people find great comfort in this knowledge, others feel great fear, when you were born, the exact moment of your death, every word, every action, every single thought that you have had and ever will have. “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Heb. 4:13)

I will not delve into the doctrine of election here, but you must understand that the Almighty knew before you were born whether you would enjoy the pleasures of eternal life or the suffering for all time of the Lake of Fire, He knows the name of every planet, a blade of grass does not move unless He says so. He is Sovereign, He is in complete and total control of every single aspect of everything that is, and all that is was made for His pleasure.

He is too big, far too big for us to contemplate, we will never know or understand the fullness of the Living God.

The question has always been this then, how much of creation does He influence continuously, and how much of it has He set in action and allowed to take a natural course, if you will, and even at that, has He predetermined that natural course? You must also consider this; we do not know the answer to this question, and we do not need to know.

Science was intentionally meant to understand, as much as our finite minds can, the creation of the infinite Lord of all creation, but man, as he usually does, corrupts what he discovers, manipulating and modifying it to his own ends. The same research that discovers cures for some diseases and ailments finds greater and more efficient ways to destroy life. If it can be found out mankind will search for it.

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” (Isaiah 55:6)

Man’s one responsibility above all others is to glorify God, it was the path of Christ, it should be our path, but mankind as a whole has determined to set his own path, and that path my friends is wide indeed. Nothing surprises God, nothing has or ever will happen that He does not have foreknowledge about, we indeed have free will to chose our own path, yet the Almighty knew beforehand the choices we would make.

For those that love Him He has prepared eternal joys, for those that do not the fire that will not be quenched is prepared. If you are His, He has shown you the path of life. You may contemplate His immensity, and you should, but it is His love that you would be wise to focus on, for that love for you will never end.

We do not know if the person we meet is saved or not unless we ask questions of them, if they are rejoice, for you have met an eternal brother or sister in Christ, if they are not, then you have been given an opportunity to show the love of the Lord to them. It is that simple.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Heb. 11:6)

The Creator of all reality offers all who will come to Him the opportunity to experience pleasures forevermore, but He has placed upon us the burden of telling those who refuse Him the price they must pay if they deny that love offered. He knows, we do not. The honor and privilege of serving the Lord God is ours, accept it as He lays it upon you, knowing the truth of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
