If you have been born-again, then you are optimistic towards heavenly things, and pessimistic towards earthly things, there can be no variance here.
At this moment this planet is run by Satan, with just a cursory glance at all the available social media sites, that much is self-evident, anyone who sees hope for this planet outside of Christ is deceiving themselves. The players on the main stage are just that, players being played, there is only one puppet master, and even his steps are directed by the Lord God for an intended end.
The general theme at the moment is an intended obedience with a shell covering of a pandemic, and up to this point it has worked efficiently, but that will change soon, fear, when not backed up by action diminishes greatly in the eyes of those it is intended for, some form of pain on a large scale must ensue, or the masses of people will not only begin to debate, but openly rebel. Evil men have historically followed this path.
“Deceived and being deceived” (2 Tim. 3:13) is the order of the day, and this is always easiest when the truth is hindered from being released, truth is what one wants to hear in far too many cases today. The protests, large and small, violent or passive will avail nothing, what is approaching cannot be stopped, it has been ordained by God, but to attempt to explain this truth to the unrepentant individual is to them foolishness, and a personal insult, for what else are they to do to show their frustrations and anger over all that has come to pass?
Protests, speaking out in public and on those same social media platforms is all they have, there is very little other recourse available to them. Soon the frustrations will become violent, and those in authority will begin to use much greater force, and evil will win, of this there is no doubt.
So then, as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, are we to join the masses as they march with their signs of frustration, are we to stand with the world to try to make the world a better place, to dispose of these despots and tyrannical leaders who are being deceived? “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
What many would consider the most passive approach is the only one that can affect what is transpiring, prayer, humble prayer and supplications to the Lord God Almighty. We know these are the beginnings of sorrows (Matt. 24:8) we know that the Tribulation period is approaching, and we know that we, even with the most humble and fervent of prayers cannot stop it, but we can ask to be profitable until the very last moment.
We can pray for courage to stand, for strength to persevere, for Spiritual discernment in these evil days, for hearts that can discern between the good and the evil, we can ask to be shown truth, and the desire to stand for that truth, all for the glory of God.
Every one of us should have on every piece of the armor of God (Eph. 6:13-17) in these days, it must not be taken off. Each of us should be attentive at all times to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we must ask where we are to stand, and then stand there, unfaltering, in the knowledge of the assurance that we serve a risen Savior, and that He goes before us.
The Lord has chosen us to be in this generation, what may be the last days of grace, we are to heed the call, no matter the circumstances that He allows to come into our lives, or the possible consequences to ourselves.
Encourage each other, remain steadfast in your convictions, we are, in a sense, the last line of defense, and our greatest weapons are prayer, the sword of the Word of God, and an unwavering faith in Him who has called us to Himself. It is time to act upon our faith. “And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:27
