“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
I am led to put words on this paper today that if you cannot accept the infinite Sovereignty of the Living God and His right as the Creator of all reality to do with any and all things in His creation as He pleases, you may not want to read. Unless you can truly understand the depth of the words “Thy will be done,” and can submit fully to Him in every avenue of your life, this letter may not be for you.
The Most High did and does love those in the world so much that He gave His only Son to die for the sins of all so that His wrath would not destroy all, this is grace and mercy intertwined, but that love only lasts as long as a person is alive on this earth. God, the Living Triune God, does not cast forever into the eternal burning lake of damnation those He loves. Those are accursed forever, those who know the fulness of His wrath for all eternity without rest.
Those He hates.
The denial of His Lordship over all, the denial of the love that went to the cross for them, the despising of the offering of the Holy Spirit, the rejection of all He offers will cause those who do so to be hated for all time.
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Heb. 10:31)
You must understand this truth, the Most High is not bound by His creation of time, He is in an ever present now, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and there is no end of His love for those who call upon Him for the salvation of their soul.
But there is for those who do not.
I offer you words now that you may not want to hear, but they are truth nonetheless, before you were born, the Lord knew if you were going to spend eternity in heaven or in the Lake of Fire. There is no questioning this truth. “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Heb. 4:13)
Why then does this God, the One so many say is love, and indeed is, allow people to be born with the full foreknowledge that they will stand before Him at the Great White Throne of Judgment, be judged as they wanted to be, by their works, found wanting, and then cast forever into eternal darkness, away from even the smallest part of His everlasting love.
Hated forever.
This is the God we serve.
The wicked are loved while they breathe the air of this planet, His grace feeds them, His mercy clothes them, they have life only because of Him, while they live His love is offered. But when they die, if they die in their sins, if they reject His Sovereign and unquestionable authority over all creation, even their souls, that love ends. There is no more grace, no more mercy, no more chances to repent, they are eternally cursed, eternally without His love.
The Living God casts no one into the Lake of Fire that He loves. And He knew without a shadow of a doubt where each and every person would spend eternity long before He created the heavens and the earth, before He created the angels, before any known existence ever existed.
Can you serve this God? Can you humbly serve Him who offers love only as long as the wicked live here, and then removes every vestige of that love when they die?
