Third Grade

I have started taking an online math course, it seems to be comprehensive, covers everything from the most basic concepts of addition and subtraction to upper college level mathematics, and is completely free, definitely a plus, pun intended.

There is a competency test for each grade level, and this simple writer of letters meant to glorify God, encourage those who seek His face for His glory, and by the Holy Spirit and the words of God convict those who love Him to serve Him with all their heart, needed to begin this math course at the third-grade level.

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” (1st Cor. 3:19)

Contrary to the lies of our adversary, math is an absolute truth, as much as the Lord has blessed us to understand it, any deviation from the verifiable truths of it will offer an incorrect equation. Satan knows full well that he cannot alter or modify the known truths of the Scriptures, but he is well versed in altering the perception of those truths given to man, this is easily seen by all who have been crucified with Christ by not only recognizing false religious systems, but those that worship the gods of wood, hay and stone, of items made by man, most likely in many cases influenced by our adversary.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1:25)

He is the father of lies and lies are nothing less or more than the individuals perception of what they believe truth to be.

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3)

For hundreds of years now men have fought against the lies of the Roman Catholic cult, but mankind needs to feel needed, needs to believe they must play a part in not only their own salvation, but in the path that the Almighty has chosen for them. Works are the answer, and so they follow that lie.

The Law given by God through Moses was in its own way mathematical, obey everything without fault or be judged as incorrect, but only one man could do so, the Lord Jesus Christ. Every religious organization every created by man throughout all of time is works-based, based on a lie, the perception that man must perform some deed, say some special words, put forth some personal effort to be accepted by the Living God to enter into His Kingdom.

And every single person who has done so has come short of the glory of God, the equation failed to provide the correct answer, and they paid with their soul.

There is only one place in the Scriptures that I am aware of at this moment where mathematics fail. “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” (Eph. 5:31) One plus one in this case equals one, and because these two who serve Christ together in their marriage have given their lives to the Lord, one plus one plus one still equals one.

I do not have the wisdom to expound on the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit who are three in one, I will leave that equation to Him who created math.

“Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.” (Psalm 71:9)

And He will not, if you live your life for Him.

You are never too old to learn, even old dogs can be taught new tricks, but you have to want to, you have to want more of God, you must have a desire to seek His face, to contemplate His ways, to find new ways to praise and honor Him.

I mean this in no disparaging way, for wisdom comes from the Lord, but I do not believe we are meant to stay at a third-grade level in our walk with Him.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
