They Would Hate You

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;” (Col. 1:9)

I would ask you to contemplate this question today, what would your life be like if this verse was fulfilled in your life, what would you be if you had perhaps not all wisdom, but wisdom and Spiritual understanding? The ability to correctly discern everything that the Almighty has written down for us in His Word, and the wisdom to expound upon it properly to everyone that you meet.

Your life, needless to say, would be forever altered.

Every book written by anyone throughout the ages you would be able to either agree with or point out with perfect accuracy the places where it was in error. Every pastor of any church, Evangelical or a works-based cult would be easily discernable to you as to the validity of the message they offer. If you had all wisdom and Spiritual discernment there is another thing that you would have, you would be hated. “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Gal. 4:16)

I have been rebuked by every religious person that has been deceived by those works-based cults for many years now, and with the advent of social media, those rebukes have increased exponentially. Before every comment I make to them, before every reply I offer, I try to remember one thing, to ask the Holy Spirit to make that reply for me, for He alone is the One that has all wisdom and Spiritual discernment, I am no more than a vessel asking to be used by the Almighty for His glory. It is their souls, their eternal souls that concerns me, not anything of myself.

If it bothered me to be rebuked and hated so often, I would not continue in the path, but I remember that it is not my truths, but the truths of God.

The thing that does bother me occasionally are those I speak to that I am fairly sure are born-again, but will not hear or apply those truths, they are deceived in such a way that, at least at that moment, I cannot reach them, they will not hear. It bothers me because they may indeed be my brothers and sisters in Christ, I will spend eternity in their presence, and until they can accept the fact that in a particular section of the Scriptures they are in error, they can be of no benefit to anyone on that topic until they see the truth.

I could not speak this way if I had not been shown the many areas where I have been at fault through the decades of mercy that the Lord has poured upon me.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8) To walk humbly in the full knowledge of the Sovereignty of the Most High is a prerequisite to all wisdom and Spiritual understanding.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 is another. If you do not trust Him implicitly and without question, if you do not serve Him as Lord of Lords and King of Kings, that wisdom and Spiritual discernment will never be entrusted to you.

You must want with all your soul to see God glorified, to see the name of the Lord Jesus Christ lifted up above all other names, to spend much time in the presence of the Holy Spirit, willingly allowing Him to transform your mind.

It is a terribly frightening journey, to lose oneself, to truly count everything before as dung, but it is the most wonderous experience that we will ever know. “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” (Prov. 8:17) All that is required of you is everything you are and everything that you will ever be.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
