The Voice Of Silence

Where are all the Christian voices in Parliament, in Congress and the Senate, where are those voices in any of the so-called hallowed halls of the great political venues of the world? Are there none, is there not one man who fears God in any of these places who will stand up continuously and proclaim that the path of the world is evil in the eyes of God, and that His vengeance and fury will surely fall upon us if we do not repent and seek His face?

“And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.” (Rev. 2:27)

Rods are not meant to be used in a threatening way, they are used to inflict pain, to cause the one on the receiving end of it to recognize the error of their ways, and to modify those ways. The voice of the born-again believer on the planet has all but been silenced. There are still some of course who are standing on the wall and warning, who do not love their lives, but they are few, the fears of the flesh have overridden the desires of the Spirit in most cases. As it was in the garden that night, imminent danger is approaching, stay awake, prepare yourselves, but “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matt. 26:41)

I have no doubt that in nearly all those places of earthly power there is at least one, if not more men of God who are attempting to show all there that the path we are on will lead to certain destruction, but one must question where exactly their own paths, not their hearts, truly lie.

There is no middle ground for a believer, if a bill comes to the table to be voted on, and it has even one part that is easily seen as going directly against the will and Word of God, even if all the rest of the items included in it are admirable, just and right, then they must vote against it, there can be not one iota of compromise in the life of the Christian. In my lifetime I have not once heard of an individual who has run and won any election on the platform that they will stand for all that Jesus Christ stood for, that they will rebuke evil, and do that only which is right in the sight of God. “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3)

Satan does not need much help in this area, mankind does not want to serve God, we never have. We want running water and accessible food, we want the things of this world that will make our lives more comfortable, we want convenience, we do not want to be bothered with serving fully He who is the Creator and Sustainer of all that is. We want to be happy, not holy.

You will not hear words of protest in those halls where the authorities of this present darkness rest, you will see and hear compromise, you will see and hear those who have agreed to disagree, and if by chance one happens to stand and voice the truths of the Word of God, you will not see them back in the next election cycle.

There are some who have paid with their lives to give the message of salvation to others, there are those who have been tortured and killed for the Word of God, but in the majority of those who claim Jesus Christ as Lord today, and for the past few decades, the Spirit has been quenched, they have silenced themselves, and they no longer desire to stand on the wall and warn of the day of the Lord (Amos 5:18) that is approaching.

The war was won on the cross, but the battle has become too fierce for too many. “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John 4:35) The voice of God cannot be silenced by evil, but only by those who carry it.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
