“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,” (Gal. 4:4)
The fulness of time in Noah’s day was spoken of by that chosen man of God for one hundred and twenty years, but the words he spoke seemed as foolishness to all that heard them.
There were four hundred years of silence from the Almighty towards the people of Israel before the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin under the Law, but at least two people, Simeon and Anna, had prayed, and received the assurance of their prayers, that they would see the Lord’s Messiah before they died.
And it is quite probable that they shared that truth with others and were seen by many as just as foolish in their words as those that Noah spoke to, just as foolish as many of us today are.
“And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2nd Peter 3:4)
The flood that covered the entire earth, the arrival of the Savior of all mankind, and the Rapture that will usher in the days of Jacob’s Troubles, two events that altered the course of history, and one yet to arrive that will change everything that mankind has plans for, and all three in the fulness of time set by the Most High.
The preaching of the cross is not just foolishness to most of those we speak to my friends, everything written in the Word of God is foolishness to them.
Right up until the moment those first few drops of water fell from the sky, until they saw the Lord Jesus Christ walking amongst them again, the One they saw dead on that cross just three days before.
And the moment after someone sees you disappear right before their eyes, for those that will be alive during the seven years after we who have been born-again are removed, many of them will also finally believe.
“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” (1st Cor. 1:21)
They would not believe Noah, they killed the prophets because they feared to believe, and not only the wicked, but many who profess to serve the Lord who reject the truths of the Scriptures concerning that next event that will alter every aspect of every plan of mankind.
I offer you just one of the simple truths in regard to the Rapture, and if you believe firmly in the assurance of your salvation, then that moment cannot be disputed by you any longer.
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matt. 24:13)
If you have been born-again, if you are without question hid in Christ, the righteousness of God in Christ, then the assurance of your salvation contains no doubts about the promises of the Scriptures. You do not need to endure until the end of your life, all your sins have been forgiven, your salvation rests in the completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, paid for in full by His shed blood. When you die, in the very next moment, you will be in the presence of the Lamb of God, and in His presence, you will remain for all eternity.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
But to many, if not most, that moment that will arrive in the fulness of God’s time is seen as foolishness, for they will not accept that the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ was sufficient in and of itself for the salvation of our soul.
They will not believe that no work either performed by them, or in the continuation of those works by us, is not required.
They will not believe that it is by grace through faith that we are saved.
His blood alone and our belief in Him. And even our ability to believe is a grace given to us by the Living God.
“For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Mat. 22:14)
Some will believe after we are removed, some will remain deceived, but many will believe, only one moment too late though. Just as when those raindrops started to fall for the very first time.
In a sense my friends, the door of the ark of our days is preparing to close, those who will be left behind will need to endure, and many will.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:11)
The fulness of time is approaching, the Rapture will happen exactly when the Almighty has set the time.
Continue to seem foolish in their eyes.
