The Insane

They are mentally retarded, mentally deficient, they are insane. The lost are the wicked, and the wrath of God abides on them today, right now, (John 3:36) they know it because the Lord God has put eternity in their hearts, (Eccl. 3:11) and yet they refuse to believe, and so they are insane.

All evil is insane, for the Lord God is Sovereign, and so when Satan, then called Lucifer, began his rebellion in his heart, he began the downward spiral of insanity. Do not think that the Lake of Fire will be any less painful for him than it will be for the prideful man, all who deny the Lordship of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal punishment, no matter their class, social structure, spiritual or material beings, the insanity of rebellion against the Most High’s anointed will bring eternal suffering.

The responsibility of the born-again believers is to inform them of this fact, that they are insane, that they are in rebellion against He who formed and created all things, whose power and strength is beyond comprehension, whose hand cannot be stopped once He begins to move it.

I offer a truth here, every single being that is today in open rebellion against the Lord, if He was merciful enough to place them in that Lake of Fire for just a few moments, would repent, not one would continue in their insanity. I have often wondered if the devils, those who have fallen from grace and have no hope of returning to their first estate, (Jude 1:6) have ever stood at the edge of that fearful lake, on the brink of their eternal home and pondered their fate. The same reason that they will never abide in heaven again is the same reason that the wicked, those who will die in their sins, will never set one foot there, they do not understand the extent of grace by their own design, and for their own reasons.

Pride is perhaps that main reason, think on the futility of a speck of dust, of man against the eternal God, and yet they rebel. That my friends is mental retardation, that is a mind that is not functioning on all levels. It is why so many will come to Christ during the tribulation period, the fear of pain, when the terror and horror is upon us, we change. We beg and plead, we fall to our knees, but not when the sun is shining, not when our health is good and there is food on the table, not when death is only a mist in the far-off future. One moment in that lake, and their insanity would depart from them, but it would not be for the sake of love.

My friends, if Christ is not precious to you, you will not be entering into the kingdom of heaven either. It will not matter how often you attended church, how well you sung the songs or helped with the building repairs, it will not matter if you read the Bible every day or even your profession of faith, if the Lord Jesus is not your heart’s one true desire, if not even your own life is as valuable to you as He is, you will know that eternal suffering. “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?” (Matt. 7:22)

Look at this verse closely, does that sound like the lost who spent their lives in selfish pursuits, who own desires and wants were the driving force of their lives? No, these are they who thought they were saved, who obeyed the rules and regulations, who desired the traditions, who based their faith on their works and feelings, and not on the Lord Jesus. And there are many of them. The fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) can be faked, even with good intentions, a profession of faith can be nothing more than hollow words. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9)

Do not trust your heart, do not trust your actions, do not trust your deeds, trust in Christ. What He did on that cross that day was all that was needed to be done, believing in anything else will make you one of the many, one of the insane.
