“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,” (Matt. 24:38)
“Except this time, it was real, there were no incentives needed to get the masses to roll up their sleeves, there was no reason to, nothing could stop it, it would have to run its course, and when it was finished, over eight hundred million people were dead.”
That scenario does not exactly fit well with the opening verse to this letter to you today, does it? If a world-wide deadly virus, thermonuclear war, or famines where billions of people are affected and dying begins, not very many people are going to be making wedding plans.
“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;” (Luke 17:28)
We’re a little closer here to what we can see happening across much of the planet, not just specifically in the fact that the sodomites have begun to express their lustful desires openly in the public view, but that they are expected to be welcomed with open arms, or those whom the Almighty has placed in positions of authority will do more than call you a hater, racist, or bigot, they will punish you, and that in many forms.
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:32)
There is no need to search for signs in the earth, sea or sky my friends, to those who have prayed for and been blessed with Spiritual discernment the only sign, if you will, that is needed is the growing evil across this earth, the lowering of the hedges, the movement of our adversary is clearly visible, but no one is going to be able to blame him.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:” (Exo. 32:7)
The temptation to openly sin, to openly defy the will and Word of the Living God grows quickly when punishment is not swift.
“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;” (Romans 2:5)
The effects of what the wicked once called “Mother Nature” are now made even more impersonal by terming them “Climate Change,” the hand of the Almighty allowing the prince of the power of the air now more free reign is not even considered by them.
There are those who profess to serve the Lord Jesus Christ who are praying for the Rapture, not so they can be with the Lord, but so they will no longer have to witness the ever-growing approaching evil. They are not praying for strength to stand in the evil day, for hearts burdened with the lost, for lips willing to profess His name to all that will listen. They just want to escape any possible pain and suffering.
These are those that almost continuously search the internet for the next new major “sign,” who believe when the next earth-shaking cataclysmic event happens, the Rapture will happen in the next moment, and when it does not, their faith, if they truly have any in the first place, will falter.
“If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” (2nd Tim. 2:12)
The fear of loss, the fear of physical pain, of inconveniences can only affect the lives of those who doubt my friends, and the best way to bring doubt into the lives of people is to begin with despair. Lovers of selves, hearts growing cold, itchy ears being scratched, doctrines of devils being offered from behind many pulpits, there are your signs.
We who have been born-again are experiencing sadness, frustrations and hopes like many who have come before us have, but we have no doubts.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2nd Peter 3:10)
Your responsibility is to the Almighty, not to the continuation of your life, and it is never to fear.
