Many of the people you are going to meet in this life are not capable of having an intelligent conversation with you, they do not have the deductive reasoning skills necessary to formulate concise thought processes within the only construct that matters, the truths of the Word of God.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2nd Tim. 2:15)
Some that you will meet may be quite literate in a singular subject, mathematics, science, any of the arts, even human structures and the way people think and react in any given circumstance, but few can converse rightly and in truth in line with and in accordance to the truths of Scriptures. Our adversary cares little about the brute beast, the wicked of mankind, they are as cattle to him, but to those that he can see the Holy Spirit within, especially those that have submitted their lives to the glory of God, he takes much interest in.
“Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” (Job 1:10) He noticed Job long before the Lord mentioned him that day, even the Almighty called the man righteous.
I offer this to you and ask that you contemplate it well, those who shine brighter, those that have submitted their lives to the Lord, who are and continue to separate themselves from the world, who speak boldly of the things of Christ, are they noticed to a greater degree than those whose conversations, although focused on the Lord occasionally, are still for the most part, still in the world?
The wicked, no matter how smart they may seem, no matter how well versed they are in either a singular subject or in many, no matter how many degrees they have or the positions of authority or respect they hold in the world, have absolutely nothing of eternal value to say. “The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.” (Prov. 10:7)
When truth is spoken by the man of God who is studying to show himself approved, who by the power of the Holy Spirit reveals truth to them, or to any they meet, that truth is heard as such, no matter how much they may attempt to vehemently deny it.
To those of you who have indeed been crucified with Christ, who believe the promise of John 14:14, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” I offer you this truth, wisdom, Spiritual discernment, the ability to discern between good and evil, truth and to be conformed into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, these are those things you must earnestly pray for if you desire to see that promise fulfilled in your life. And for one singular reason, that God would be glorified.
The wisdom of God coming from the mouth of a man of God, an earthen vessel submitting fully to the will of God, will always prove to those he meets in this world what the wisdom of this world professes to be, foolishness. The temporal can find no place in the eternal, darkness can find no place in the light.
But I caution you here, of two truths you will find, “For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” (Eccl. 1:18) and perhaps our greatest enemy, pride. Satan pays much attention to those who shine the brightest.
The words of the truth of the Scriptures will always convict those you meet, either towards or away from the Lord, that is not to be your concern, being available to the work of the Lord is to be, and if you do not study His Word, you never will be.
