Borrowed Truths

The Blind 2

The Blind 2

I would like you to use your imaginations here for just a few minutes if you would please, I would like you to envision a cataclysmic event that renders every human being on the planet blind instantaneously, not one person alive has the ability to see, all have become visionless. Turmoil beyond comprehension, more than disorder, chaos in the extreme, for who would lead who.

Now envision if you will that the followers of Jesus Christ, those whose names are securely written in the Lambs Book of life, are the only ones who are spared, the only ones still able to see clearly, and what you have my brothers and sisters in Christ is the truth, for this is how the world is and has always been. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2nd Cor. 4:3-4) Our Lord does not speak useless analogies in His Word, every sentence, every word has a meaning, a meaning that is meant to build us up in our faith, our walk with Him, and its end result is always the same, to bring glory to His Name.

This world is on a certain path to destruction, it has been since the Lord arose from the tomb, it will end badly for all those who are blind, and it is our duty and privilege to warn them of that impending end, we are His ambassadors. The spiritual blindness of every person here has many reasons behind it, but there are no excuses for those who have been given eyes to see, we have been saved by the grace of God for a specific set of purposes, and the lost, as much as we are able and led to, should be one of our greatest convictions. “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.” (Prov. 16:1)

The lost can see nothing but what is right in front of their eyes, they look no further that the hopes and dreams that they have for this world, and what comes after is nothing more that the imaginations of their heart. “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” (Rom. 1:21) They seek for a life here only, they seek for themselves only, and their rewards will be here only. They are blind to the truths of the Scriptures, just as we were once, and it is only by the grace and mercy of Almighty God that we have been blessed to be able to see. The born-again believers alive today my friends are the only ones who can see, all else are blind.

We have been given a light, a light to help them to see in the current darkness of their lives, “Ye are the light of the world,” (Matt. 5:14) and if you have spent any part of your life here in service to Christ, you know full well that most of them will flee from that light. The lost believe that all that is now is all that there is, death is the only enemy, survival is the main goal, and to try to explain to them that there will come a day when not only they themselves but this entire earth will be destroyed places within their minds a type of futility, that all of their efforts have been in vain.  This is what many of them hear when we witness to them, their lives have been pointless, all of their human efforts will avail them absolutely nothing, meaninglessness has been the fact of their entire life.

And I am sorry to say this, but all this is true. I have sought with much prayer and diligence the reason for the lost being here, those who will die in their sins, and have come upon only the conclusion that they are here to serve, to maintain as it were, the necessary functions of the planet. Their end is to be the vessels fitted for wrath, to show the power of Almighty God, “What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:” (Rom. 9:22) We must come to the realization that some will remain spiritually blind for the entirety of their lives, they will seek only the betterment of self, they will remain vain in their imaginations, they will not glorify God, and they will die in their sins. Without Jesus Christ, there is no hope.

The men and women of God are the only ones on this planet who can see, we are the only ones who realize just how short life is, (1st Peter 1:24) we are the ones who have been blessed with the knowledge that this world is in a downward spiral, that things are not going to get better, and that a day is coming when we will be called out of it (1st Thess. 4:13-18) before the great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. (Joel 2:31) We are the light of the world, all others are in darkness, fooling themselves each and every day into believing that life is long, that their children’s children will reap the benefits of a long and healthy life as long as they apply themselves to the things of the world.

“No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.” (Luke 11:33) I would ask you to think here on someone you know, a person that you have perhaps been acquainted with for a long period of time, an individual that you have never expounded the words of the saving grace of God in Christ to, and then I would ask that you see that person in the lake of fire, screaming up at you “Why did you not tell me!” You must realize that they are there of their own accord, the invisible things of God were just as clear to them as they are to all who have ever lived, it is not your fault, but you had opportunities, and you did not take them, you had a light, and each time you were near them you placed it somewhere they could not see it. For reasons that will be crystal clear to you then at that moment that you are seeing them on fire through the tears flowing down your face, you must be able to see today.

Are you or are you not an ambassador of Christ, are you a servant who serves without question, do you truly have a light, do the truths of the Words of the Everlasting God reside within you. Are you warning them of the impending doom that is coming upon this planet, telling them of the One who will remove His followers from here before that great and terrible day. If you have been saved by the grace of God through Christ, you are one of those that can see this, they are blind, they believe that everything is going to get better, that it will all work out, that man will, as they believe he always has, find a way to get everything back in shape, back to “normal.”

We have been asked only to tell them the truth, to lead them to the cross, from there the decision is completely up to them, the same as it was for us. But if we do not tell them of His unending love, if we do not warn them of what awaits all those who reject His love, we have been remiss in our duties, and we have left them right where they were, blind. We have been blessed with spiritual discernment, our eyes are open, our ears hear the truth, we have a responsibility, and we will be held accountable for how we handled those responsibilities.

The praise and wonder of a forgiving Savior is in our hearts, turn your light up to full power, and let it flow from your lips to all that will listen, help them to see the wonder that is Christ. “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” (Matt. 6:22)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
