Stop Caring

I want you to stop caring about yourself, even unto the point of the loss of your life for me. I want you to stop desiring the pleasures of this world, lusts, pride, its wealth, everything that it offers. I want you to have no deep, contemplative thoughts about anyone but me.

If you have extra, I want you to give it to those in need, your love is to be reserved for me and me alone, and your faith and hope in my Word is to be unquestionable. I want you to stop caring about everything and everyone, and all that you do you will do for my glory.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21)

Here is what has been set before you if you have been saved by grace through faith, here is what we are to speak to those we meet if they are considering giving their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Everything we are, all the time. No doubts, no reservations, holding nothing back.

“When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.” (Psalm 27:8)

Our sole purpose in life is not to reach out to the lost, it is not to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, it is not to die to self, to bear each other’s burdens, to care for the poor and stand against evil. Our purpose is to glorify the Living God. Nothing else must come before this, and nothing will follow unless this is set in your mind first.

When we stop caring about everything else but that His name would be exalted above the heavens, then He will lead us in what we are to care about after that.

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:3)

In many, if not most churches today, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together seems to be priority number one, and then the thought follows that everything else will simply fall into place, that as long as we are all gathered together, the Almighty will be glorified. Singular, personal, heartfelt devotion in worship my friends rarely follows those that walk out of those buildings called churches at the end of the Sunday morning service.

There is a facsimile of it, but no visible proof beyond being good stewards, and that in a lackluster way, of what these have received. They still care about the world, its offerings, what they can gain by the sweat of their brow, about what people think of them. The Living God rarely crosses their mind throughout the week, unless they want something from Him, not “How would you have me to serve you today.”

“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

My brothers and sisters in Christ, stop caring. Stop caring about what others think of you, stop caring about the things of this world, the path the wicked are on, the trials and tribulations of this life.

Stop caring if you live or die.

Unless the goal of your life is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God first and foremost, very little of what you do will be of any eternal value, your prayers will be hindered, our adversary will have an advantage over you, the world will continue to entice you, battles will be lost, and works for His glory will become more important to you than submitting your life to His will.

Go and read Proverbs 3:5-6, look at the first part of Psalm 16:11, realize the path that you are on is for the glory of the Most High.

All else is secondary.

Stop caring about everything but that, and everything will then fall into its proper place.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
