Somebody is lying. Either the church to the north of where you live or the one to the south is wrong, and not just deceived in many cases, but willingly and on purpose lying to their entire congregation.
I have known for quite some time the masses can be easily deceived, repeat the same phrase or basis of thought enough, and people will begin to believe it, no matter how ridiculous it is, no matter how little proof there is to back up what they are saying. When it comes to matters of Spiritual discernment, there is a much higher authority to pay, the Sovereign Lord of all creation does not take lightly to lies spread in His name, and we can be eternally grateful for His longsuffering with us.
I do not think that many believers realize just how much time elapsed in certain instances in the Scriptures where the Lord said enough is enough, where He finally revealed His wrath to those who claimed Him as Lord but showed little to no restraint in their lives, they did not suppress their appetites for sin. Somebody is lying, not every church on this planet that says they are based in the Scriptures are indeed following Christ, if they were, there would be only one church, so somebody is lying.
The semblance of religious unity as a whole is so prevalent in the heart and affairs of man that Satan himself is going to begin a one world religion, he is quite aware of how important religion is. It is one of the reasons that our Lord is going to remove His church before the great and terrible day of the Lord, (Joel 2:31) and send a strong delusion to all those who will be left behind, (2 Thess. 2:11) those who were religious and honored Him only with their lips. (Matt. 15:8) What He is going to do is allow them what they want, to believe a lie, to see it as truth.
I have begun to pray more earnestly to be shown His truth, always, I have prayed almost daily for a long time for the ability to discern between good and evil, which we all should be doing, but to know the truth I believe is something that none of us can do without today, or ever. It is not enough to just have John 14:6 memorized, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” We must apply the wisdom that the Lord blesses us with to be able to see the truth, for the world that we live in is no longer complacent to those who seek truth, especially Spiritual truth from God, it is becoming an exponentially more evil place by the day, and the father of lies (John 8:44) wants all truth stamped out.
Somebody is lying, not every so-called church on this planet is worshipping the God of heaven, but one that they have chosen by picking and choosing certain Scripture verses that fit their idea of who He should be.
I firmly believe, especially in these days that there is only a remnant left, a called-out, chosen people that have been blessed with the knowledge of the truth, and they are seeking His face for His glory each and every day, they are watching earnestly to try to comprehend what our adversary is planning next, they see and are shown the signs, but, besides the suffering of those that is occurring because of them, they pay little attention to these events, it is what is coming next that they are looking for. These individuals are not consumed with the approaching moment of the rapture, when He calls us, we will go home, either on that day or by the death of the flesh. These people, this remnant are seeking for truth, for only the truth will set us free. (John 8:32)
I know the whole world lies in sin, (1 John 5:19) I know there are many who are desiring for their ears to be tickled, (2 Tim. 4:3) I know we are in the great falling away, (2nd Thess. 2:3) I know these things with the same secure knowledge that I know my lovely wife loves me, but I also know someone is lying, and I know that most people on this planet are believing these lies.
My friends, I believe the Lord is pouring out His Spirit on all who would desire to know the truth, on all who are willing to glorify His name no matter the cost to them, you need to decide if the truth is that important to you, or if close enough is good enough, if Sunday morning only is still enough, if what you learn on the news and internet feeds is going to be continued to be seen as the truth, or if you want to live a life of truth. The days will grow more evil, deception and lies will continue to grow and abound, division when they make a mistake will become the order of the times, and the weak and blind will follow the adversaries every lead. Somebody is lying, only the Lord Jesus Christ can show you truth, all you need to do is determine to follow His truth in faith.
