Simple, Trusting Love

There is a simple faith in the Lord our God that in a way I know very little about, while at the same time comprehending its nature. It is a faith that accepts all from His hands simple because of His love for us, it does not delve into the intricacies of the dark sayings of the Scriptures, it does not pursue more wisdom, more knowledge, more Spiritual discernment, it is love unbounded for Him simply because of love.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

And that obedience is the continuation of love no matter what.

I believe these saved souls are extremely precious in the eyes of the Most High. I believe these are those that Matthew 5:8 speaks of.

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

They are, in some manner, more prone to the trepidations, the fears that assail us all at times, they are more hesitant in their actions for Him, more precise when contemplating His Word and will, for everything they do is based upon one singular aspect with them, love for the Lord Jesus Christ. And I also believe this, for the most part, the Proverbs thirty-one woman is the epitome of this expression of love for our Lord.

I am not saying that Mark 16:15 is for the man of God only.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

But I do believe that while these men of God do indeed love our Savior, that love is expressed many times in a different fashion. The tears of joy overwhelm us at times when we ponder Him, the emotion of love overflows the man of God in His life at certain moments, but Christian soldiers, warriors for Christ if you will, serve their King at His command and by His will, they do not falter in the dark, when the battle rages the honor of the Captain of their soul is first and foremost in their minds, His name will not be defiled by the enemy as long as they draw breath.

“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” (1st Peter 3:7)

In all truth my friends, if men of God knew and understood the simple love that women of God know, in a way that I cannot express properly with words, we would be formidable for His service indeed.

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” (John 20:17)

My lovely wife is one of those this short letter references, when she sees the Lord Jesus Christ for the first time, He will welcome her with open arms as she runs to Him and holds Him tightly. All true women who love Him will.

The man of God, the soldier of Christ, has no such thoughts, he will bow his face to the ground at the feet of his commanding General, his King, he will not rise until he is told to, he will accept whatever rewards he may be given in great humility, and then he will ask what task his Lord has next for him to do.

It is not to say that there is not love for his Lord, but obedience in faith is the expression of that love, and the simple pure love of the Proverbs thirty-one women will never be fully known to him.

One of Satan’s greatest deceits is the feminist movement, for those who follow that path will never know, if they do not repent, the most heartfelt truth of the depth of love that can be known by a simple, honorable, trusting woman of God.

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” (Eph. 5:25)

It is impossible for the man of God to not love his wife who knows this love for the Lord Jesus Christ in her soul, and in a way that is not sinful, envy her for it.

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” (Prov. 31:10)

The best love expressed my friends is a simple, trusting love.
