“Shameful” Christians

“Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” (Luke 12:3)

Their shame has fled from them, they do not care who knows anymore, in fact, they now make it a point to let everyone know who they are now and why. What was only done in private away from the eyes of others, where no one could see them, where no one could find out how they have changed is now available for all to see, with no shame whatsoever.

Am I referring to those who have been given over to a reprobate mind, those who believe that the Almighty made a mistake when they were born, that they are actually of the opposite sex recorded on their birth certificate, or the one who has been born again and has come to the realization that loving the Lord Jesus Christ means a life lived openly for all to see?

“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9:26)

Being a part of the body of Christ is no matter to be hidden, there are no silent members of the body, and there are no excuses that will be heard or accepted by the Lord from the one who because of fear of personal retribution, because of shame and embarrassment would not speak His name in public. “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” (Matt. 5:15)

“My friends don’t like it when I speak of the Lord.” Then why do you call them friends?

“My employer has a rule, no conversations about religion at work.” Then why do you continue to be employed there?

“My family does not want to hear anything about the Scriptures.” “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,” (Mark 10:29)

The word “transgender” has replaced the term “homosexual,” enabled has replaced shame, and laws are being enacted that attempt to force those who disagree with the current narrative to ensure that those that are confused are not meant to feel shame.

The Lord has certain laws as well my friends, we are to be profitable, we are to spread the news of the gospels, we are to go out into the world and seek the lost, we are to stand for the Word of God in the evil day. Being fearful of persecution is shameful, being afraid to speak up about the truths of the Scriptures means you are hiding your light, being embarrassed means the Lord Jesus Christ is embarrassed of you and puts your salvation in question.

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” (Heb. 11:16)

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” (2nd Tim. 2:19)

Do you?

I believe that for far too many who claim to bear the name “Christian,” that supposed service to the Almighty only takes place in the appropriate settings, the light they claim to have only shines in the presence of those who have truly been born again, but outside of the congregation, away from those true members of the body that light they believe they have is hid, shame and embarrassment cover it, and they believe the Lord understands and will forgive them. The Scriptures are clear, He will not, and their day of accounting will not happen until they are removed from hell and stand at the Great White Throne of Judgment.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9)

It would be wise of you to look very closely at the path you are on, whether it is wide or narrow, whether it is focused on Christ or the preservation of self.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
