“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:” (Romans 2:14)
There is a reason why every nation has laws and there is a reason why certain individuals within those nations are not subject to any of those laws.
“And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” (Luke 4:6)
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. (2nd Chronicles 16:9a)
As the Almighty seeks for those who will serve Him diligently and with a willing and joyful heart, Satan does the same, but for his own gain. The joy those that our adversary offers is of course only temporary, humans are no more than simple tools in his hands, easily deceived, easily manipulated for his goals. Men who love power and wealth are easy for him to find, even those with what we might consider no conscience towards their fellow man.
Many of those in positions of authority today are such men, the lust of their desires are solely self-gratifying, power in those high places will do that to most men. Laws are enacted only after the check clears, but it is an almost sadistic sense of vainglory that our adversary looks for in his puppets.
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matt. 25:41)
These individuals do not believe this truth, and if they do, they do not care, all that matters is power, power over people. Even the greatest of wealth cannot compare to it, although they themselves will acquiesce to those who have more wealth than they do. These men are not seeking for the antichrist, he would be nothing more to them than a hindrance, for he will demand all power, and receive it.
Those who have been blessed with Spiritual discernment can see these truths quite easily, we mourn because of these foolish puppets, but we know two truths, if they do not repent they will learn that a few short decades of unmitigated power cannot be compared to an eternity of suffering, and that those who are in power, no matter how corrupted, no matter how evil, have been put there by the Almighty.
“For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.” (Romans 9:17)
The antichrist will not assume power of this planet by his own subtleties, by his knowledge of dark sayings, but by the will of God.
When we realize the Sovereignty of the Most High, when we comprehend that all things serve the will of God, we have a peace that passes all understanding.
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matt. 6:10)
And it always will.
The sin of mankind draws the wrath of God, the time of the Gentiles is almost over, and those men in power who believe themselves to be untouchable will find that they were mistaken. But such is the way of man, from Cain to Pharoah to Nebuchadnezzar to Pilate, nothing changes. Just because men see acts of God does not mean they will kneel before Him, pride blinds their eyes, the temptations of our adversary are too strong for them.
We can see what is happening, we who have been crucified with Christ know what is approaching, and as truths are revealed to us, after we have tested the Spirits, prayed for Spiritual discernment and offered thanksgiving to Him who sits on the throne of eternity, we are to tell others.
Watchmen on the wall can do no less.
Speak to all who will listen about these days, but speak more about eternity to them, an eternity of pleasures forevermore to those who will heed the call, and of unending pain for those who will not.
