“What would you have me to do Lord?”
“What I have already told you to do.”
One of the easiest things to do is to express love to others in your heart, every single person who professes the Lord Jesus Christ with their lips only does this every day. They are polite to a fault, never contentious, willing to nod in approval even towards things they do not agree with. These will consider the action of love to never be judgmental, for only God can judge they will say.
If they contemplate Amos 5:15a, “Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate:” it will never be verbalized, for they themselves may be judged.
To put it bluntly my friends, I am sick and tired of the continuously polite “Christian,” the one who would never dare to correct, reprove or rebuke, the one who would never consider pointing out the sin in another.
Those who will not take a stand against evil will never take a stand for righteousness.
“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Psalm 94:16)
Not these this short letter is about, there is too much fear in their hearts, too much desire to please men instead of standing for the truths of the Word of God, too much embarrassment, ashamedness, the possibility of being viewed as contentious because they are too adamant is what keeps them from standing either against evil or for the Almighty.
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” (Matt. 12:30)
And I personally believe that everyone of these people have been placed into situations in their lives more than once by the Almighty to reveal to them who they are, and if they will not respond and take a stand, they will give their account at the Great White Throne of Judgment.
Hypocrites they are called, not because they do the same as those whom they will never judge with righteous judgment, with the truths of the Scriptures, but because they see the evil and will not speak up against it, because they profess to serve Him who hates evil, and commands us to do the same, but they will never take the chance of being seen as impolite, as uncaring, as unloving.
These are the ones who started the improper saying of, “Love the sinner but hate the sin.”
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2nd Cor. 6:14)
They created the saying “Hope springs eternal,” and will never accept the truth that there are some swine, some people, we are not to cast the pearls of God before.
They are not going along with the enabled society, they began it.
These people love the wicked all the way to hell, for they will not tell them they are sinners in need of repentance, they will never think of telling others that their lifestyle is abhorrent in the eyes of the Almighty, to speak the truths of the Scriptures in this regard would seem rude to them.
Verses of love but never of eternal damnation.
And the world has learned much from them, the enabled society did not come from our adversary, but from behind the pulpit, love is the way, all are welcome, never judge or you will be judged.
So, they do not judge with righteous judgment because they actually love those people who are wicked, but because of the possibility of personal retributions from the Lord, of being judged themselves.
Do you see the selfishness of these truths now?
“Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.” (Romans 12:20)
Better to have them feel those hot coals today than to spend eternity burning.
Speak the truth in love, do not lose the salt you have been blessed with. Better their feelings be hurt with the truth today than to be held accountable to their blood.
