Borrowed Truths

Part of the Reason

Part of the Reason

We are watching the world destroy itself, or perhaps better said, we are beginning to see the true face of evil. The kings are making a comeback, and when the wicked rule, the people mourn. (Prov. 29:2)

Sin has always been amongst us, Satan and his demons have not gone anywhere, they have not been in hiding, they have not been “laying low” waiting for these days, doing nothing but preparing behind the scenes. When God began to remove His hand of protection, much like He did when He lowered the hedge around Job, (Job 1:10) this world began to see sin unfettered, the chain, as it were, has not been removed yet, but quite a few links have been added to it, our adversaries reach is further now.

Here is the question I would ask you, is any of this your fault? A serious question indeed.

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” (Matt. 24:11) Have you been telling people things that cannot be backed up in the Word of God, for that is what a false prophet is, someone who gives advanced warnings of an event that they say will happen, even those that expound in error the Scriptures. These individuals do not always do so for personal gain, monetary or for self-recognition, though many times that is the case, most of the time though they are deceived, and as Eve was, they also will be punished. Even more in these days, for we have not only the complete and inerrant Word of God at our disposal, but, and I would hope that this would be true of those who are only being deceived, these have the Holy Spirit living within them.

Another group of individuals who could be at fault here, if we are to follow this line of thinking, are those who have brought into their midst false teachers, to scratch those itchy ears of theirs. (2 Tim. 4:3) This is a very large group indeed, and although they may have, and probably have heard the truths of the Scriptures, they will not allow themselves to be convicted, they have for all possible means, begun to quench the Spirit. (1 Thess. 5:19) The world has not done this to them, they indeed knew and still know full well what they are doing. T

he Word of God is a burden to them, they have decided that the path on the other side of the fence is smoother, they prefer entertainment to sound doctrine, to have their positive emotions played to instead of falling to their face in submission to the will of God.

Now, one must presume, at least to a degree, that many of these are indeed saved individuals, but have determined that close enough is good enough, that not all of the Scriptures are to be taken literally, either that or there are errors in the Scriptures because of man’s fault in translation, or that those who came before them were in error in their preaching. In either case, if you are associated with these types of, shall we call them organizations, are you part of the reason for these days, these beginnings of sorrows (Matt. 24:8) that are covering the planet?

I speak of this in these terms, every born-again believer has the Holy Spirit within them, and everyone who does is to stand against evil. “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17) If we are not doing that, then who is supposed to take our place. Are you able to understand a little clearer now? “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” (Matt. 5:13)

We are the salt, but many have forgotten that we are to let our light shine, (Matt. 5:16) but many have only a small, glowing ember at best remaining. Have you noticed that there is no mention of a revival of any sorts for these last days, but when we are gone, how many during the tribulation period will not love their lives to the end? (Rev. 12:11) Why do you suppose that is? What are they going to possess that many today do not, or will not?
