Open Your Mouth

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jer. 33:3)

I have seen some of these things, and if you have been born-again, so have you. I have seen drunkards despise the bottle, junkies look abhorrently upon the needle, wife beaters love in ways that no unsaved person can, adulterous wives submit in love to their husbands, those who once feared standing strong on the Rock of their salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ living through them, and them following wherever He leads.

“Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.” (Psalm 119:114)

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22)

It is quite easy to recognize those you will spend eternity with that you meet here in this life, they do not shy away from conversations in public places about the Lord, they do not pause the conversation when the brute beasts walk past them. When accolades for achievements are poured upon them, the glory is given to the Almighty, they intentionally mention that it is Him who rules in heaven and earth that has enabled them to succeed in whatever has been placed before them.

We are not hearers only, but doers, and far beyond the commandment to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, far beyond only hiding His words in our hearts. We study to show ourselves approved, and then, each day in some way, go out into all the world to seek the lost, to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ, and to rebuke the wicked.

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1st Cor. 9:27)

We rise each morning and check our armor, looking for possible cracks that might give our adversary an advantage over us, or might allow our sinful nature cause to follow his temptations.

“For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.” (Romans 7:19)

We learn from every mistake, heeding the calling of the Holy Spirit to serve in love, while standing against evil.

The people of the Living God desire the still water, but they do not fear to walk into the fire if so commanded to, we are ambassadors, citizens of the Kingdom of the Most High God, and we take that responsibility gravely and with much intent to be profitable for His Kingdom, for His glory.

Sinners saved by grace who are now the righteousness of God in Christ.

We do not dwell on our past but have no problem offering our testimony when called to, for in this the lost will see hope for themselves as well, the weaker brother will find encouragement to walk the path set before them with vigor and faith.

It does not bother us to heap coals of shame upon the wicked, to reveal to them the folly of living a life for vainglory, for things that will not last, to hate even the garment spotted by the flesh, and to tell them the truth of Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

Those same hands that we are safe and secure in.

We are not hearers only, we are doers.

We are called to walk in these dark days with His light, never once hiding it, never once being embarrassed or fearful of Him whom we serve, Him who we have died to and for.

It is quite easy to see those doing good works, but unless you speak with them, you will never know why they are doing them. Today my friends, without words spoken you will never know, and you will never be known as one who serves the Risen Savior.

That drink of water can just as easily be given by those who do not serve Him.

Open your mouth, let them know who you serve, and why.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
