Noticed

It is highly unlikely that Satan has ever noticed you, that any of the fallen angels even know of your existence. The only future that he knows is what has been written in the Word of God, he is extremely adept at deductive reasoning, his skills in this area may indeed be unmatched, but he cannot foretell future events continuously with perfect accuracy.

What you do for the glory of God may be noticed, but not before.

His traps have been laid out for centuries and they vary little. “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1 John 2:16) These are his mainstays, and although mankind likes to see himself as more than his predecessors, we change very little in these regards, in fact perhaps not at all.

He is indeed somewhere right now as you read this letter, either as Job 1:7 says, “From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” Seeking for someone to devour, (1 Peter 5:8) or fulfilling Revelation 12:10, “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

Those who fell with him have appointed tasks, to pretend to be ministers of righteousness (2 Cor. 11:15) with the intent of deceiving and leading astray as many as possible from serving the Most High, not so there will be more in hell than in heaven for their pleasure, but because of the hatred they hold towards the Lord Jesus Christ.

An evil spirit was sent by the Lord to King Saul, (1 Sam. 16:23) Paul was buffeted by one, (2 Cor. 12:7) but not until they were sent. They are allowed freedom to do as they have been appointed to do, no more. “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” (Psalm 91:10)

Job was a “special case,” so to speak, the Lord Himself brought up this righteous man to Satan as they were speaking one day, but I cannot say if all who serve the Most High have received, as it were, the same treatment. I do not know if, when our adversary desires to perform some evil deed against any who have been chosen by God, he must go and ask first. There are not as many of those who have been born-again as there are the wicked, but the task for a created being who can only be in one place at one time would not be feasible, as much as our mortal minds can comprehend it.

The traps have been laid beforehand, they are always present, and it is up to us to recognize them. You will not be able to blame Satan or anyone else for your actions or inactions in this life when your day of accounting arrives. This is not to say that some are not noticed, and that direct intervention is asked by Satan of the Lord to attempt to hinder the man of God in what has been set before him by the Lord, I doubt the account of Job has only happened once, but one must consider, for those who are born-again, but will receive no rewards, what purpose is there for a personal attack upon them by any who fell with our adversary, if they are not profitable here, by their own free will, then there is little need to attempt to persuade them to be even less profitable.

I know from the Word of God that there are ministering Spirits, angels who are sent at times for our benefit, (Heb. 1:14) but I can find no place in the Scriptures where we are told that devils follow around every born-again believer, keeping an eye on them, watching to see if they serve the Lord with all their strength, mind, heart and soul, and then attempting to dissuade them from doing so.

When Satan is bound for a thousand years, it is presumed, though not specifically mentioned I must add here, that all who fell with him will also be removed from their ability to influence mankind during the Millennial period. Yet man will still sin. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Cor. 10:13)

The traps are well placed, they have been since Adam, they need little modification, and rarely if ever need to be altered. We walk into them of our own free will. Satan and the devils that inhabit the earth may indeed influence some directly at times, but that still does not give us an excuse, you have no one to blame for your actions but yourself, such is the gift of free will.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
