Not What, But Who is Truth

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

Pilate had not walked with the Lord, he had not heard Him speak of the Lord God, and so one can see him as he turned his head to the side, looked off into the distance seeing nothing, and spoke the words he longed to know an answer for. “Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? (John 18:38a)

In that moment the Lord could have offered him an answer, much like Paul did for King Agrippa, but He did not. I wonder, if Pilate would have asked the Lord, “Can you tell me what truth is,” would He have answered him?

Has He answered you, or do you still wonder, do you still seek truth?

The question is not what truth is, it is who is truth, but the world has forgotten to ask, and so truth is no longer absolute in the minds of many, but relative to whatever one desires to be.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1:25)

Mankind worships his own ideology of the truth more today than perhaps ever before, what many identify as is what they believe themselves to be, and speaking the truth today can get you fined or imprisoned. “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” (Prov. 30:5)

If you are going to speak truth it will do you no good to start with x and y chromosomes, debating those who have deceived themselves into whatever they believe themselves to be when it is self-evident that they are not that thing, that their belief is nothing more than a construct of their imagination will avail you little. Telling them that they are going against the will of God means nothing to them, either God is dead or never existed in the first place in their minds, or they do not care what He thinks is the delusion they have accepted. Truth is relative to them, not absolute.

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,” (Romans 1:22)

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Prov. 1:7)

But you see my friends, they do know the truth, every one of them, for those invisible things of God are clearly seen by them, but they have instead decided, by their own free will, to hate us because we tell them the truth.

To believe oneself to be in complete and total charge of not only their lives but their destiny is the epitome of pride, it is the clay attempting to tell the Potter He is useless to them.

If you desire to seek the face of God you must pray earnestly, often and with great supplication and humility for Him to reveal His truth to you, we cannot serve Him properly unless He does so, we will be deluded, diverted and deceived if He does not show us truth. But not the truth of the current situation, not the continuing episodes day after day of the world following Satan and falling into chaos, but the truth of who He is.

Far too many who profess Christ spend far too much time these days attempting to reveal to us just how wicked the wicked are behaving, but very little time on how to seek the face of God for the glory of God. We have started to follow the world instead of the Word, and have begun to give our opinions instead of the truths of the Scriptures.

Would you call that keeping yourself unspotted from the world, or following the carnival as it travels from town to town?

There is no reason to stand and gawk at those in the town of Vanity Fair, it is time to reveal the truth to them.
