Not For You

“And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.” (1st Sam. 17:40)

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2nd Chr. 7:14)

Time after time in the Scriptures it is recorded that when the enemies of Israel came against them, and they were in obedience to the will of the Lord, their enemies were destroyed before them, either by the strength in battle that He blessed them with, or by an angel He sent before them, hornets, confusion within the camp of the enemy. When they obeyed, they were blessed, when they were in disobedience, then times such as in the account of the small city of Ai or the destruction of the nation as in the days of Jeremiah was allowed to happen.

When the Lord Jesus Christ began His ministry and many believed Him to be the Messiah, they were expecting Him to lead them against the Roman army and free them from their oppression. But the time for repentance as a nation had elapsed, the time of the Gentiles had arrived in full.

“I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.” (Romans 11:11)

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)

If you are a Gentile, a person not born from the seed of Abraham, you are not now, even after your salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, nor will you ever be of the sons and daughters of Abraham by his seed. You are not now, nor will you ever by under the law, not the Mosaic law, not the Levitical, the form of the Aaronic, not under the ten commandments. They were not given to you, being saved does not make you an adopted child of Abraham by the flesh, you are not bound by them, they hold no power over you and never have.

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” (Romans 10:14)

You might come across one in a thousand people who have been born-again that understand this truth, we are saved by grace through faith, and after that most blessed of moments if we attempt to follow the law, in any way, shape or form, we put Christ to an open shame, we attempt to be good enough by adhering to that which was never given to us, and this truth stands as firm for those who are of the seed of Abraham who have come to know Jesus Christ as Lord.

For over two thousand years the nation and people of Israel have denied their Messiah, they will once again build the temple and begin the sacrifices, and Satan himself will they see walk into it.

Those who serve and love the Lord Jesus Christ, those who have been crucified with Him are hid in Him, we are the righteousness of God in Christ, yet few who know Him will leave behind that which was never given to them in the first place, the law, they will never truly be free.

“For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.” (Heb. 7:18)

If you are a Gentile or Jew, it makes no difference, the law is of no effect to you, but “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” (Gal. 5:13)

The great deception has gone on long enough.
