If a man cannot secure gainful employment, there is a reason, notwithstanding the physical limitations that some have, but very rarely are those other reasons items that could be considered viable. They are unable to find work in their chosen field, they do not want to leave the security they feel in the community they were raised in, family and friends are desired to remain close to, they have in a sense become accustomed to a certain lifestyle, or just simply they do not want to. The reasons have become excuses, and some simply become lazy, they will not venture into the streets, for there may be a lion. (Prov. 26:13)
The plan of Satan has always been to make an enabled society, and his plan is working perfectly, governments around the globe have set up reservoirs of cash just for this purpose, churches have stopped in many cases to see the truths of the excuses of many and have partaken of the same mindset, rationalizations and reasons have become viable excuses. Those who need to be worshipped, those who desire to have power over others must first learn the tactics of how to subjugate those they desire to be masters over, reliance on others most generally leads to a form of slavery. In the monetary sense, debt has done an excellent job at this, those that are in debt are slaves, (Prov. 22:7) and slaves can be forced to serve, but it is not quite enough, total servitude can only be arrived at with a people in need, and an enabled society can be kept in that state for quite some time, but the end result will not come from the debt load, nor from the desire, in fact demand, to continue to be cared for, to be enabled, the final subjugation can only be achieved through fear.
Intimidation is a word that can be used loosely here, but those who call for a form of compassion for the many who are enabled today around the world see any form of labor for that enablement as atrocious, every excuse is seen as worthy, nearly any reason is accepted for these individuals to remain on the taking end of the structure, expected to give nothing in return. Accusations of not being loving will be cast into the faces of those who believe that able individuals should be productive members of society, many times even from those within the churches who will preach “That if any would not work, neither should he eat.” (2 Thess. 3:10) An enabled society can be controlled, irrationality can be made to be seen as compassion, truth can be altered quite easily into a lie, and the father of lies is moving about his business at an exponentially increasing speed.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John9:4) And the dusk is upon us my friends, the hand of God is not only moving across the face of this planet, but everywhere that He has removed His hand, Satan has wasted no time in occupying that territory, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) Many who profess Christ are doing little more than complaining, the warnings are few and far between, the love of many is waxing cold, (Matt. 24:12) and with this coldness a loss of the knowledge of the work that the children of God are to be about has arrived. Church attendance in many places has decreased dramatically over the last few decades, and many are attending only to fulfill the verse of Heb. 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,” they have become good stewards (2 Cor. 9:6) only of their materialistic blessings, leaving the work of serving others for the glory of God to others, save for those who feel a need to enable those who should not be so, they will not leave the security of the known to step out in faith, they will speak of the evil, but not speak against it.
Those who are willing to work for Jesus Christ do not ask what type of work He has in mind for them, they do not turn down the assignments given to them, they are enabled only by His Holy Spirit, trust and obey are their key words, and the circumstances that surround them, the possible consequences of their actions, are of little concern to them.
Have you ever noticed that nearly everywhere our Lord Jesus went there was a Pharisee or other member of the ruling class of His day lurking in the background somewhere, ready with a rebuke, a deceitful question meant to trap Him? If we are to be Christ-like, why would you think it should be any different for you, where did this notion come from that we are not to speak love in firm truth to the lost, to the errant brother, where did this idea come from that we are just to live and let live, that all are to be enabled. Deceitful lies, cold, calculated, very slowly placed deceitful lies.
If you jerk very hard and quick on the nose ring of a large bull, you are asking for some serious trouble my friends, but if you speak to it in a calm reassuring manner, slowly and at the same time imperceptibly pulling on that ring ever so slightly, he can be led quite easily. Such is the path that a large part of the Christian community has been deceived into following, “Yea, hath God said,” (Gen. 3:1) has been listened to more than, “Thus saith the Lord.” Many have bowed down to the idol made by man, denial, guilt, fear, serving mankind no matter the excuses, loving everyone no matter their lifestyle, never rebuking, never reproving, never showing them that in the Word of God they are seen as wicked and perverse by God, (Prov. 28:18) many have decided that being loved by the world is far easier than being hated by it.
So they have acquiesced, they have enabled, they have kept their mouths closed and kept the truth from those who need to hear it the most for the fear of being rebuked, they have sought the praise of men instead of the things of God. Satan’s plan is working perfectly, enable all and make the Christians think it is the right, the humane, loving thing to do. Some of you reading this might want to find a good saw and start working to get that nose ring off.
“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” (Isaiah 48:17)
