No More Signs

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Heb. 9:27)

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)

The first and third verses offered here are absolutes, they are guaranteed, they will happen to all of us. The second verse is not, out of all those who have been chosen by the Almighty, those who will be raptured will not taste death. Only Elijah and Enoch are in that club today.

Those who will disappear on that day are not in a special club though, so to speak, they are not “super-saints,” there is nothing extraordinary about them, they will just happen to be those who were born-again and alive when that moment arrives.

The Lord chooses the time we will be born in, that is the easiest way to describe what we cannot know for sure, He places those He has called to Himself not only in specific time frames of the history of this planet, but exactly where He wants them to be on this earth.

“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” (Prov. 16:9)

“And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”

1st Corinthians 15:8 was how Paul explained these truths. But placing us where He wants us to be does not mean we do not have free will, else the third verse in this opening letter would not be valid, for no one that does not have free will would be required to give an account of their lives to the Almighty.

I believe that everyone who will meet the Lord in the air is being shown what few others have been blessed to see, and not all of them are intently listening. The warning signs of the days of Jacob’s Troubles are easily seen, but I believe there is another group that has been crucified with Christ that has, in a sense, stopped looking for any further signs. They recognize the path this world is on, they see the subplots, as it were of those signs, but they have not strayed from the path and made looking for them their sole intent.

They, we, are not warning those of this world of the signs, but of eternity, for only a very few will not be a part of the second verse offered in this short letter to you today, most everyone is going to die.

Not just because of Matthew 24:22, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” But because of Genesis 3:19, “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

I will offer you some assistance here, an analogy if you will, how important is what happened in the year 1157 to you? Exactly, it isn’t, and whether those alive in that year are in heaven or hell today, that year is not important to them either.

The account you will give to God Almighty is important, what you did for His glory today is important, how you lived your life for Him, the words you said, the actions you performed, even your thoughts you and I will give an account for.

The plan of Satan is to divert your attention away from what it should be, submissive service to the Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God, and many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are either stuck in the loop of continuously searching for that next sign, or simply fulfilling Matthew 24:38, “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,”

My friends, you cannot compare eternity to a few short decades of life, you must speak to those you meet about their eternal soul, not what has happened or what is yet to come in the next few short months or years.

We are all appointed to die, save for those who will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1st Thess. 4:18)

And then get back to the business at hand, searching for the lost amongst the wicked, amongst those that will die in their sins and will give their account at the Great white Throne of Judgment.

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)
