Injustice is not evil, it is when righteousness does not prevail when a particular situation occurs, it is when wrong is allowed to continue, and is not punished. Those who are the beneficiaries of these injustices see nothing wrong with the outcome, their wrong has not been challenged to a point that a punishment is placed upon them. They have “Got away with it.”

If one chooses to, you can find these moments many times a day, every day, in the world of sin and wickedness they are as prevalent as the green grass or the blue sky, but what in the life of those who have been born-again, what injustices against our Holy God do you believe you are getting away with? “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” (Matt. 12:36) “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)

There is no hiding from God, He sees everything, He knows everything, when we stand before Him to give that account, He already knows what you are going to say, there will be no surprises for Him. Acts of commission or omission, these are the two standards that we will be judged for, deeds done and words said, deeds not done, and words that should have been spoken, and in both cases, it will be seen as an injustice to the One that in the end all are accountable to.

I personally believe that the most prevalent excuses brought up by many on that day will be that they were too busy, that they didn’t want to offend, and that they were not sure what they were supposed to say or do in that particular moment, and the Lord will show them, each of us, the truth of the matter. What we thought of as “important” was nothing more than wood, hay and stubble, the offensive words they envisioned were the Words of God. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)

And what they didn’t believe they knew how to do they were simply afraid or ashamed to do.

Not one of us will have a viable excuse on that day. Here is where many are in great error, they believe that the mercy and grace of God will simply excuse, or overlook these injustices against Him, that He will simply accept the fact that in our mind we thought we didn’t have to do these things for His glory, that there were no requirements placed upon them when we became His servants, that the grace that was shown to us cost only Christ something, but not us. “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1 Cor. 3:15)

Now, you may be thinking, “Well, at least I’ll be in heaven,” and you may or may not be right, but contemplate this. If you are invited by the ruler of your nation, by a king to his home, and you arrive bearing no gift whatsoever, not even the smallest item, what do you believe your reception will be like, compared to those that bring some form of offering, some gift, to that same gathering? You will be welcomed, because you were invited, but you will not be made to feel as welcomed as those others, those who sacrificed their time for His glory, who gave up the world and all that it had to offer to follow Jesus Christ, those who did not consider the cost or the consequences even to their own lives, all that mattered was that God was glorified, and the name of Jesus Christ was lifted up, in every word, in every action, in every deed done by them. Who do you believe will be honored more by the king?

Those who do little to nothing for the Lord do not like to think about these things, they want to believe that everyone in heaven is equal, that the smallest deed is merited right alongside of the life that was completely devoted to the Almighty. It is called inclusivity and enablement, and if you look around the planet today, you will see that the notion of this does not work well, that is why Satan employs it, it stands directly against the Word of God.

If you want to still believe the inverse of what this short, poorly written letter attempts to convey, then think on this. “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.” (James 2:23) “With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” (Numb. 12:8) “For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (Luke 7:28) Still think you need to bring no gift?

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)
