We are coming upon days where minor inconveniences are not going to be resolved, and as we move forward with life, minor is for all practicality, over. Each day will bring new challenges, and what you used to call a “normal” way of life will be coming to a close. The Rock that is our Lord should be the born-again believers only solace, the only place where we can find comfort and strength, for this world has determined that man is in control of his own destiny, a very grave and major mistake on their part.
All the little things, the abortion rights, acceptance as the normal gay people being married, the violence and anger toward each other, the stipulation for being acceptable in the eyes of the Lord is not the ways of man, and never has been. On a world-wide scale we see the signs, “Together we can get through this” epitomizes nearly all of them, and this is the root problem, why His wrath is beginning, we have forgotten as a human race the Sovereignty of Almighty God.
One of the main precepts of the Lord was, is, and always has been “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” (Exo. 34:14) He called it a commandment, and the commandments of God are not to be taken lightly. We, as a whole, are beginning, in fact are well on the path, to presuming to make ourselves god, of denying His holy and righteous power in the affairs of man, and the jealous God that we serve will in no way just simply “let it slide.” In a sense, Satan wants the same thing that only God deserves, obedience, the main difference is that our Lord is gracious enough to allow us the choice to serve Him, thus the profitable (Matt. 25:21) and unprofitable (Luke 17:10) servants.
Not so with our adversary, no other options are available, serve or receive punishment, this is the cause for the opening statement in this letter to you, minor inconveniences are not going to remain minor, each step of what is about to occur on a worldwide level will require more and more obedience, major trials will soon take the place of minor inconvenience. Long days, months, and even years of plenty are coming to a close, not only in the materialistic sense, but in the realm of our emotional state. Rest will be replaced with anxiety, confidence with doubt, calm assurance in sunny days with approaching storm clouds, and my friends, it is going to get very stormy.
There is no rebuttal to this one truth, the majority of the people on this planet do not serve the Most High God as Sovereign, they do not serve the Lord Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, they have forgotten that they are but dust. (Psalm 103:14) Satan’s goal has always been for the lost to keep their eyes off of the cross, for the believer in Christ, those who have the Holy Spirit within them, to keep their service to the Lord at a bare minimum, to keep as much as possible their witness and testimony at as low a level as possible. Every follower of Christ will be tested in these days, there will be no exceptions, we must prepare for the minor problems, we must be searching the horizon for the storm clouds, we must remain faithful in this wicked and perverse day.
This is our time of trials my friends, the adversary is going to use everything at his disposal to gain the unquestioning obedience of all that are on this planet, with minor inconveniences at first, seemingly intended for our welfares and safety, but do not be deceived, we have one Lord and Master, He both asks and commands at the same time, and what He asks of us He always asks in love. Prepare yourself to serve in love toward Him.
