This letter is for the men of God whom the Almighty has chosen to read it, if you happen to be reading this and you are a princess of the Living God, then pass it along to one who you know who is indeed a man after God’s own heart.
It goes without saying that we are not called the same as the ladies of the Most High are, we are responsible for everyone and everything that goes on under our roof, we are the head of the woman, and therefore the head of the household.
We are the responsible party.
If you attend church, your pastor is not the head of your household, neither is any other man of God that you look up to and respect.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” (Eph. 5:25)
God first, your wife second, if you have children, they come next, then your brothers and sisters in Christ, that is the order prescribed by the Most High.
We are not as those they call the men of this world; we do not seek accolades or rewards from any, the talents we have been blessed with are from the Almighty, and if they are not used in some way, shape or form for His glory, either certain blessings will be removed from you, rewards will be lost, or those skills may be removed.
Men of God never seek their own. Your physical strength, your mental prowess, your demeanor among your so-called peers, all are to be used in some way for the glory of the Most High and for the benefit of your family.
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” (Eph. 5:31)
There are two points in this verse you, as a man of God, must understand. Your parents, your siblings, your relatives, saved, lost or wicked, are no longer your guiding force. Their advice, when well thought out by you and contemplated at length may be beneficial in some cases, but a man of God never says, “Because they said so.”
You are responsible.
The second part is in close association with 1st Peter 3:7.
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”
If your life, and it should be, is dedicated to serving the Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of your Father in heaven, and you are indeed doing all within your power to adhere to the will and Word of God by the power and strength of the Holy Spirit, then your wife will willingly and with great joy apply Ephesians 5:22 in her life.
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.”
There is another point I must make; I pray you can understand it.
Men of God are not followers, they are leaders. Not of their communities, not even of nations and kingdoms, but of those who have not yet attained, for whatever reason, that title of a man of God.
“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” (1st Cor. 9:22)
The weaker brother, those that still fear, no matter what that fear is, even death, these are those we are the kindest to, yet never leaving them, as it were, where they are, but revealing to them what it takes, what is required to carry the title of a man of God.
Those who are not worthy of this world, those this evil world despises the most, those who are hated the most by those in and of this world are those who cannot be swayed by it. These are the men of God.
James knew what he was talking about when through the Holy Spirit he wrote, “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.” (James 3:1)
Every man who has been born again is qualified to be a man of God; few though are willing to pay the price for that title.
The choice to do so, as always, is up to you.
