Borrowed Truths

Liars

The majority, if not all people on this planet, are pathological liars, by this, I mean that it is not only their, or if you prefer, our intent but it is in our nature to lie.

Not once do you read about our Lord trying to appease someone because the situation they found themselves in was detrimental to their welfare, He always spoke the truth, He was probably the least diplomatic person to ever live. The foundation of diplomacy, whether it be in the political field on a worldwide scale or in your home with your family is to agree to disagree, thereby lying to yourself that what you do not want you can learn to live with. It is called compromise, and the One we serve never has and never will compromise. “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16)

Holy people cannot fit into a sinful world, it is not possible. “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15) I’m not sure if you have come to the realization of this yet, but every single commandment of the Word of God goes against everything in this world. Satan, the father of lies, (John 8:44) spreads lies, and the purpose of those words he speaks has always been to refute and challenge the Word of the Almighty, and many believe him.

We do not rebuke openly, only in secret, we love without placing the knowledge of sin upon those we speak to, we attempt to be polite and kind while skirting around the truth so as not to make the one we are talking to feel bad, and we call it witnessing for Christ. We lie to them, we lie to ourselves, all in the name of diplomacy. “But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.” (James 5:12)

If you are honest with yourself, you will see the truth in these words, we do not only reprove and correct others with the Word of God as we have been commanded to for fear of the possible repercussions to ourselves, for we seek the praise of men above the things of God. (John 12:43) We do not openly rebuke those who are living a sinful life because we may inadvertently cause them to have negative feelings about themselves, and we call it loving our neighbor. We cover ourselves in lies, and we have become comfortable with that blanket.

The truths of the Word of God bring into the light the deeds of darkness done by mankind, by each individual, we are to let our light shine continuously, (Matt. 5:16) that means we are to live in the truth. All of this sounds well and good, and it is more than likely contemplated by all who have been born-again, but how often have you seen it in action, how often have you lived in that light in that dark world that you enter into each day?

Social media is banning truth on almost every venue, it is necessary in these days leading up to the Tribulation. Those who believe their “personal” website is an opportunity to speak what they call “truth,” will soon find their access denied, their feed will be cut off. If you are speaking the truth in love (Eph. 4:15) for the glory of God, then it will not matter if you are online with thousands of people, or if you are in front of one person on the street, the truth will be heard. You cannot make anyone listen, but you can learn to never compromise in this area ever again. It just depends on how much you love the One you say you serve.

You are an ambassador of the kingdom of God, your responsibility is the truth, no matter the personal consequences to yourself, no matter if you are accepted or rejected by those who hear you.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
